-Sony Xperia phones can now move apps to SD cards-
I have a SONY XPERIA ARC (very old phone) and I can move app to SD, it is a very good phone and I have no reason to upgrade, I have 8MP camera, 32sim card, nice screen, good music sound.
AnonD-78871, 17 Jul 2014Better late than never LG and Samsung kitkat has this feature long time agowhat the..... all android phones have this function before kit kat... but sony phone brings this feature back because in kitkat there's no option to move app to SD card
This feature is available on all Windows Phones with 8.1... Leave your ancient android and iOS.
[deleted post]thats the point..when google introduced jellybean, that was the downside compared to ics. you cant save apps on SD card...thats why its a big deal for all who knew that. obviously you dont know what youre saying.
wonderful
These Sony phones CAN accept 128gb Sandisk cards:

really i wish it had been there for samsung android phones also :(
sadmanh, 17 Jul 2014My XperiaP has that option too, and it's not even Kitkat.Yes it does have this feature, in fact all android phones prior to kitkat has it,it was removed with kitkat and Sony bring that feature back to some of its kitkat devices.
I'm still using xperia arc with this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2385612
This has the move to SD option :)
oreskec, 17 Jul 2014they're about 3 years behind everybody else
i could move my apps to SD card on my 2010 lg and... moreThis is an old feature but unfortunately it was removed with kitkat ,even thought it was there in jellybean ,ice cream sandwich and even gingerbread.
That is why here Gsmarena means that this removed feature is back in these devices
Until now, only CM11 has the ability to move apos to SD Card (unsure if it is from CM or third-party). (AFAIK)
Sony proves yet again THE only company that listens to it's customers....bravo Sony!
Bring it to Z series also, will not use it if I dont have to but....will be good for all heavy game players out there...
double :(
Better late than never
LG and Samsung kitkat has this feature long time ago
Somehow, because i have a Xperia Z lineup phone, i feel like a second hand customer. Tnks Sony for making me feel like this!
its new option for kitkat not previous os-es as google removed it in kitkat
anon, 17 Jul 2014to those who claim sony is way behind samsung n htc, read the news u all. u r the way behind.... moreexactly I love how the "techies" on this site don't even know that kitkat 4.4+ removed this feature and that Sony is the 1st to reinstate this feature... dat blind fanboyism. Samsung fans have become the apple sheep of the android world smh...
Know what you're saying before commenting people, this is a new feature because in Kit Kat you will lose the move to SD card feature.
to those who claim sony is way behind samsung n htc, read the news u all.
u r the way behind.using a non kitkat OSes from that cmpany.
u should know that apps to sd func had been removed by google in kitkat, so basically sony is the first company to reinstate this function to kitkat firmware..except for rooting geek, this is useful for normal user
It's not a new option, I had this on my Xperia SL when it was on ics 4.0.4 and on jellybean 4.1.2 I don't know why are you saying it's a new option😕
