I a... moreI know that Android fanboys might object to your statement, but as an Android USER (Galaxy S4 Active) I have to 100% agree with you. Apple has sole control over software and hardware, they can engineer a device which appeals to the senses and looks / feels very premium, and put together a consistent user experience across relatively few products. By comparison, most Android devices are running different versions of Android, all with different types of OEM skins developed by people who have no real business writing software (Samsung and LG are the worst). One look at the new TouchWiz on the Galaxy S5 confirms it for me.
But despite my praise, I'm still in no hurry to move back to the iOS prison because of iTunes having sole control over managing media on the device, and because of a few iOS restrictions like launching default apps, downloading files directly to the file system, no file explorer, etc.
Apple spreaded the iPhone madness of vulgar American through media to create the sentiment in many countries cleverly as without iPhone american people would die. But actually it was a pure market strategy to sell their iphone. Now presently iPhone is as simple as Micromax Android phone in every aspect in hardware, software and performance also.
Sony Z3 and Meizu MX4 would be my choices for Android smartphone if I had to choose currently. Nice design with good build quality. LG G3 is not bad either.

It's like asking why people buy Prada for so much money, when they can buy a much cheaper Chinese bag with more pockets. But some people will never understand it and that's fine.
AnonD-58835, 06 Oct 2014i still dont understand why people buy this obsolete iphone6 with 2 years old harware inside, ... moreI am very happy with both iOS 8 and the iPhone 6 Plus, which has become my main phone now. I am on iOS 8.0.2 now.
For comparison, I have small issues with my Xperia z2 with KitKat, mainly apps force closing. Not a deal breaker and I have enjoyed the phone, but the iPhone 6 Plus has been a better experience, absolutely trouble-free so far.
I am sure that out of all the users, there are some problems, but based on my experience it is a solid phone and a solid OS.
AnonD-278873, 06 Oct 2014Wow!! What a brilliant explanation dude, seriously. I Guess that exercise fits well iphone... moreFor iPhone 6+, there is the Apple Plus Fitness Program. You download this app from Apple, then it makes you play games by stretching your thumb to hit certain spots on the screen. Each time you stretch, you rub the fleshy part of your thumb over the home button and it will determine how stretched out your thumb is. Eventually you can also have hands as big as bigfoot's, then you can hold iPhone 6+ comfortably. All this is part of Apple's care for the consumer.
Compare iphone6 made by a chinese low quality company, and Xioami MI4 also manufactured in china. Xioami is 3 times much better device in hardware and in software level. So, why people keep buying obsolete iphone? really for silly people or zero technology people. Nowadays kitkat runs smooth, no lags. Better buy an android man

I Guess that exercise fits well iphone 6 but please tell me about 6+.
And if anyone can stretch his or her thumb over 5.5 inches then i believe its really not made for humans.
And im really impressed with this idea of literally stretching your thumb.
Keep up iphone users.. surely for those big bucks you'll have that flexibility in your hands.
AnonD-248425, 06 Oct 2014wow u look at others and think zero technology. that is ironic considering how u say apple has... moreExactly, real tech websites were astounded by what Apple achieved in the move to A7 chip. What misleads people is how Apple disguises it with its intuitive user interface, fooling a lot of people into calling it simple, or childish.
It takes high engineering to make something complicated, into something simple.

Anonymous, 06 Oct 2014The answer? Optimization.
This 'two year old' supposed tech, runs circles around the SGS5, ... moreThis is correct, Samsung and LG are 100% focused on features and spec sheets, while Apple (and Google) is focused on user experience.
touchwiz and lg ui are absolute pieces of trash that lag the phones up, necessitating the addition of all that hardware just to make the phone run fast.
And this is coming from an Android user! Android is NOT Samsung/LG or even HTC, Sony, etc. Those are just added bloatware and trash ontop of stock Android.
AnonD-183154, 06 Oct 2014Not that many people have free space in their pants like most Android users. You're right, we tend not to carry as many tissues to wipe our tears away.

Still, there is another Android phone there, the HTC, which managed to stay quite well with the iPhone. Only the Samsung performed so poorly, so it is still a cause for concern no?

Only after the craziness died down, did the media start making the correct conclusions based on facts.
Nah, not that many phones bend.
My iPhone 6 gone back its too big ,slippy in hand and it does not look right..Gone back to 5s .
My mother is complaining her iPad is stuck in some kind of Mail loop since upgrade to iOS 8,,she signs in and then it says she is already signed in,,then it says she is not signed in so she signs in ,ad infinitum so will have to go round to see it i can fix it.
I do like Apple but think each year they are getting it wrong FOR ME with design and bugs.
Not that many people have free space in their pants like most Android users.
If you had really read the article you would have seen that the 5C sales only went up because it was sold in the christmas period for free on contract.
