Redmi Android Xiaomi Rumors

The Redmi Note 17 series is getting its global launch next week, but that won't include India. Over there, the Redmi Note 17 is already official, while today new details about the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max have surfaced.

According to a new report, the two Pro devices will be made official for India on September 15. The Pro is said to have a 9,000 mAh battery just like its Chinese counterpart, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will have a 10,000 mAh battery and will be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC.

This device will feature a 6.8-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, a 32MP selfie camera, and support for 100W wired charging. Both models are expected to be promised four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The shocker may be the pricing. Today's rumor claims both the Pro and Pro Max will be at least INR 8,000 ($83) more expensive than their predecessors. An exact price level hasn't been leaked, though, at least not yet. Stay tuned for more.
