Just a quick question. I ended up getting a different battery from the dealer who again told me to charge for 2 hours before using and if I was having the same problem of the battery only lasting a day and a half to bring it back. Some people posting say they have no issues with the battery and it is lasting for 3-4 days. I haven't taken any calls or received any calls since the re-charge and the battery is down to 1/4 bar and its been less than a day and a half so far. Anyone tell me who has had no probs with battery how long they did the initial charge for? The manual states 2hrs45min...
Thx everyone. I am thinking to take it back tomorrow to the dealer.

Dani, 21 Jan 20091 Day with heavy usage, Average 1.5 days....How long did you initially charge the phone for? The dealer told me 2 hours. I ended up taking it to the Nokia Care Centre and they said there was something wrong with the software and it needed upgrading and mentioned something about that was why the battery was draining quickly. I got it back yesterday after 2 days and left it on all day yesterday and overnight and now its 1/4 battery drained but the thing is I did not receive or take any calls since I have gotten it. Its strange how some people are saying it is lasting 3-4 days. Its very frustrating as its a brand new purchase less than a week old. If it does not last, I will have to pay another visit to get a new battery/phone.
LINK. You may need to delete the back-end of the link I posted, it seems that I may have commited a grave sin by having included the actual page.
So perhaps work with what you can see and then navigate the site from the homepage. It is very easy to find.
RE BATTERY UPGRADES... I recently found that there is an "allegedly" upgraded battery for this phone:-
1000 mAh, (the original is 720 mAh)
CE Approved (european safety testing certificate)
Same size, direct replacement.
It is not a nokia branded product, so perhaps someone else has taken the initiative in marketing this.
Have a look, and if you feel inclined, give it a go.
Apologies in advance, if I have missed something, just trying to help!!
I am in no way connected with this, other than that I am soon to buy a 6300, and as part of my research, became aware via this board that some people experienced poor battery life.
Use BL 5C battery from nokia shop only with a genuine hologram embossed on the battery
Battery problem will get over
dont use BL 4C.
I miss this phone a lot........as it was gifted by my husband however after 6months i accidentaly broke the phone. Now i carry Nokia 7210, however i still miss this phone.
Its very smart phone with gracefull loook and fantastic feature but it has battery problem as it is not long lasting
