hmmm! Damn! Anyone interested in buying a miniSD card for £5? :D
Bummer, now I have to order another one! :S
Although... I dont really need lots of space, thats why I bought iPod :))
Thanks for the info mate!!
i bought these phone about 2 days ago and i think it rocks
I decided to take out my memory card on Saturday and noticed one major thing in particular. The phone started up much faster!
Normally when I turn it on with the MicroSD in the phone, it goes through the PIN code and hand shaking very quickly but then a white screen comes up and it takes about 30 secs. before the standby screen comes up.
After I removed the card and turned on the phone, after the hand shaking, the standby screen came up instantly. But, shortly after I went to the menu the phone froze for about 10 secs., then came back to normal. After playing around with it, about 2 mins. later it froze again and this time it did a quick reset with a blink of white then it went back to standby mode. I told myself that there was still some corruption somewhere so I reflashed my phone with the same 5.50 and after that it has not froze nor reset.
Everything seems to be perfect now and the memory card is still out of the phone. I'm going to scan the card for virus and probably format it before putting it back into the phone.
i really want to said the design of 6300 is wonderfull but the mp3 is very low i have 6300 and offer to you to buy this mobile thanks for your good website
To PAUL:
Don't try the MiniSD in your phone. It WON'T fit and even if you got it to fit you could possibly damage your phone based on the fact that the phone wasn't designed to work with that card.
uhm... I kind of bought a miniSD memory card, instead of microSD one! :S
Will it fit?!?! I looked up on wikipedia, miniSD is a bit larger, but the specs are completely the same! Please respond asap!
Thanks in advance! ^^
6233 is actually much better than 6300 especially in battery life (again.........) and at the voice.
But it's a little bit big and ungly. If you don't care about the look, then the 6233 it's an awsome phone!
6300......I bought it on 12 Sept,2007 and i love my phone BUT i cant stand the low battery life. wen i make/receive calls in a day (roughly 30 minutes in total), almost 20 SMSs a day...i have to charge my battery.
2ndly, av always wanted to use my calculater..apparently it daznt hav th calculator feature.
What do i do to instal a calculator.
If anyone knws....kindly send me info to: lavinek@gmail.com

@Original_Jamaican:
im Surprised to hear that it Restarts with Firmware V5.50
there must a File in your phone which is currupt e.g. Theme,Music file
thats what makes most phones Restart
it did with my older 6230i
never happend with 6230 though
Have you downloaded from the net a theme or something? Try to put out your memory card. Then you'll see if the phone has problem or something in the microSD or the microSD itself.
I'm not a female, I am male 33 yrs old from Athens, Greece (are you disappointed???).
If a file makes problem to your firmware, then you cellphone might need format... Or maybe you have a virus (I hope not!)...
To Popocatepetl:
Maybe I have a bad file on it somewhere. I already reinstalled the firmware once, I was planning on doing it a second time...today in fact.
Popocatepetl, I get the impression that you are a female, are you ?
My phone doesn't restart with the version 5.50. Maybe yoy should reinstall the firmware. Or throwit into a can
Its great. os is series 40 which is bad.
Firmware V5.00
When I got my 6300 it came with firmware v5.00. I decided to update it with v5.50. The only good thing with 5.50 is that the recording volume have been fixed. The bad thing is that sometimes when you are on a call or writing a text, the phone restarts.
It didn't restart at all yesterday but it restarted about 3 times today, 2 times on a call and once when writing a text. This is the first time I'm experiencing this with a Nokia phone.
My previous Nokia, the 6230, never restarted while on a call. It only restarted sometimes when playing incompatible media files.
My advice to you people is if you can live with a low recording volume, stick to 5.00.
personally i think Nokia is honest with prices of their Phones!
well thats here in the UK England
Unfortunately I cannot disagree with you. Nokia is stealling it's customers with the prices. Imagine this! The 6500 classic costs 377 euros. My my...
It's not a Nokia fault. It's our false because we acceprt those overpriced cellphones...
