An... moreif android is going to rule the world in 5 years and if u r considering abt the main three os in the market.. Then for what hell u came to this page..:P:P:P:P:P. Try something else.. If i ask u to justify 'why u criticise symbian' obviously u will come out with three or four points.. BUt that will be with respect to hardware and apps.. Other than that can u say anything.. That too app department provides us the basics.. SO no worries for symbian user..
Even take into reality. My friend got a samsung galaxy S duos as birthday gift from his father this year. But he was using 5800 till that evening.. after two weeks he is once again back to 5800 saying that this old machine still satisfies me rather than new. He feels that build and battery is not good in samsung. Inspite of having good hardware it fails to attract an old nokia user.. Have u ever used 5800 if not try to get ur hand on it. The real XPRESSMUSIC.:):)

Can anyone tell me what sizes in MB the pictures comes out in different resolutions? After a lot of searching i finally found a store which has 20 Nokia 808 and i don't think they are gonna sell out soon, not in a month. I'm also waiting for Nokia Lumia 1020 however i hate WP8 and Microsoft. Should i wait or go for this phone? By th way it umis available here in 18k brand new here in India.

Here is breif sales report of symbian phones from nokia
Q4-2008- 15 million
Q4-2009- 20 million ( up by 5 million or 33%)
Q4-2010- 28 million ( up by 8 million or 40%)
Then,
Q1-2011- 24 million (down by 4 million or 14 %) this was the quarter of begining of 'Elop's effect'
Q4-2011- 18 million at least.
So anyone with little mathematical knowledge calculate weather symbian sales was declining or increasing, yes there was a downward slope but totally due to Elop's effect.
All above data is not made by me at home. These are nokia's official sales report.

AnonD-75470, 21 Jul 2013Who told u symbian is expensive. Even with downgrading the manufacturing quality , cheapest lu... more:). Sorry my friend, but Symbian is more expensive then WP. You cannot compare lumia 520 Hardware with Nokia 500, Nokia 500 has a cheaper Hardware and still costs over 100 euros. Also, in 2009 Nokia started to decline quite fast abd at the end of 2010, Android overtook Symbian already. While Symbian sales were good and Nokia was still the leader of smartphones sales, android took grownd to easy and to quick, making Symbian sales droping almost 50% in just one year, maybe even more... So, yes, Nokia had Problems. Big time, they could not compete with cheap Chinese crapp comming like an army of 'pick me'. They had Problems since 2008 but they were to cocky to do something about it. Ios was a threat and android was a Baby threat. Nokia never tought to do something greater with Symbian so the threat to remain in a babz stage... And when they did it, was sooo LATE, that the world could be reinvented in that time. Even MeeGo came to late. Meego should be released in 2009. And keept. Now we would have had Symbian and Meego rulling the market...

when can we expect further update to nokia 808!
its an awesome handset, atleast give the option of resizing video while watching like in symbian anna, editable equalizer and album art like in nokia 5233 and atleast a basic video editor which can cut and merge videos and changes background music just like nokia 5233 and other in the same series of s60v3.
i believe 808 is the most powerful handset among all the symbian handsets.
if iam right why the options are not given which were there in a basic phone like 5233,5230,5800,c6-00 and other s60v3 phones.
am i correct?

And i was quite satisfied with its performance but lack of autofl focus was the biggest draw back. I couldn't tak pic of documents.

AnonD-162764, 21 Jul 2013at release time n8 was about 42k and 920 was about 62k. :pWhatever the price in your country, just calculate the difference in price... even with no marketing symbian can outclass wp lumias if nokia didn't put crappy hardware on symbian smartphones. In last 4 years nokia only releases two symbian phones with auto focus camera, first one is nokia n8 in 2010 then nokia 808 in feb 2012. They released their business series flagship without auto focus camera.No one likes there iinferior edof cams on a smartphone costing $500. This is total flop marketing strategy. After all that bad marketing , sales of symbian phones managed to go up and up, ofcoure there was a little decline in market share due to boom in sales of droids and iphones. By the way im hovering around the web for online purchase of nokia 808 (last nokia phone)....sadly... out of stock on all promising online stores...
