I would rather add 1-2mm (or not) and get the 12mp camera with xenon flash. Definitely worth it.
1) Change the name to N8-01 or something else.
2) Make a different post about the N9 with MeeGo.
Kinda funny how people don't read about the OS itself. The screen can be 5", but with S^3 or below it will still be nHD (640x360) or below no matter what due to the limitation of the OS. There will NEVER be a WVGA resolution screen for S^3 or below no matter how big the screen is. S^4 will change that though and support higher resolution displays.
I think that this mobile are a very interesting phone, the size of touchscreen are big and a qwerty is a very important funcionality. I hope to travel to get one because in Colombia tecnology like a N97 in this moment is not available.
superkid87, 29 Jun 2010wow..I just bought a new n97 mini and suddenly there's another phone going to hit the market..... moreonly thing missing on this phone for me is the USB 3.0 support. also, hopefully the memory issue plaguing the N97 has been resolved on here with more memory on the C:/.
Sometimes i marvel at some peoples poor sense of proportion. How on earth do you expect nokia to stick a 12mp can in this unit and still maintain a decent thickness?
As for me, i'ld pick dual led over zenon anyday. Zenon is brighter, no doubt but i wont trade video light for it. The dual led flash on the nokia n86 was splendid.
Sexlan, 30 Jun 2010Yes this would probably be called C8 if not E8... How does Gsmarena know that it has a "S... moreI think too that this could be the N8 Pro, or the C8! Or maybe E8. We will see this very soon. Nokia will make a bigger announcement this month! :) We could see this month a Meego device.
its desighn very very boaring pls repeat try to iprove ur disighning
Yes this would probably be called C8 if not E8... How does Gsmarena know that it has a "SUPER AMOLED"? The video doesn't prove that...I think it should be called the " N8 pro"...who's with me? Because it is TOO similar in design and features with N8 to be part of the C-series range,( which is the budget range). I understand why they got rid of the 12mp camera, (its not for saving costs)...and it got a qwerty keypad, that is the only difference compared to the nokia n8, right? And since it got the anodised aluminium casing, that just proves it is not a cheap phone and thus not being part of the c-range...
Big “B”, 26 Jun 2010Nokia announced that, n8 will be the last symbian Nseries smartphone. So there will no chance ... moreWhy are you telling me this? I know that the upcoming N series will run Meego.
Anonymous, 29 Jun 2010People the pic is not of the N9, how many times do I have to say this?! The pic is of the N8-0... moreYou are right, this is NOT the Nokia N9, this is a C series phone, I saw some pictures. I think this is the C8 mid-range smart phone.
Once again, nokia has upset me with this phone. only 8mp? I thought this was an upgrade of n8, and its still using the crappy 360x640 screen? at least get to 480x640!
Nokia has already announced that the N8 will be the last Symbian powered phone in the N-Series line and that all others will run MeeGo, so the OS is listed wrong here.
Hmmm. The colour shades of this phone reminds me of the e90. It just might be the e7.
they should release this with maemo 6.nokia never learns and they still stick with the pathetic symbian.
People the pic is not of the N9, how many times do I have to say this?! The pic is of the N8-01/E7 or what not, it is NOT the N9. That in mind, the N9 and N8-01 are NOT the same device.
The N9 WILL have a 12MP camera
