I am not a n97 owner yet
I have not tried the v20 firmware yet, but I did have tried the v12!
I found that the flick scrolling in web browser is not as smooth as iPhone:( this is the deal breaker for me! I care so much about the web surfing experience!
Do you notice any improvement in flick scrolling in the web browser after v20?
Does the phone slow down with music player, web browsing, nimbuzz, ovi map, email, ovi store running at the same time after v20
and where is the official skype that nokia has promised?

thanks in advance.
Ram, 26 Nov 2009I am Using this phone for past 6 months. no problem. Now I cannot upgrade my Firmware to 2.0 ... moreYour phone must be tied with a carrier, which means that you won't be able to update until your carrier has made it available. You might want to call your carrier and ask them about it.
we see some improvement
hopefully there is more improvement
like threaded sms, improvement web browser, transition effect, etc
jack, 26 Nov 2009of course n97why u say so?? i want the reasons..actualy i want a comparison between these 2 handsets..i cant believe the things on websites. i want a comparison from a person who is an expert in these stuff..thanx..:)
DO NOT buy this phone, it's the worst phone Nokia have ever released.
1) Constantly hangs and needs to be reset
2) EXTREMELY slow processor
3) Loses settings everytime you roam
4) Locks for no reason and won't unlock, needs to be reset
I could go on and on, but I won't, just to say, save your cash and buy and iPhone.
Ram, 26 Nov 2009I am Using this phone for past 6 months. no problem.
Now I cannot upgrade my Firmware to 2.0 ... moreI guess it is Singapore branded product code
you just hav to wait for our tele carrier to customize the v20
or you can debrand it (but void yr warranty)
I am Using this phone for past 6 months. no problem.
Now I cannot upgrade my Firmware to 2.0 bcoz my phone code dosnt hav the latest software. I called Nokia care. They told me to wait for the release. waiting for long time still unable to update.
can anyone help me on this.
My product code is 0586301
I'm so frustrated with this phone. Recently upgrade to latest software 2.0, and athough the kinetic scrolling and increased phone memory is nice, it still randomly switches over the that annyoing nokia ringtone.
Furthermore, its starting to hang more and more. Def. regret getting this phone.
