Realme Android Announcement

Realme has just announced a new affordable smartphone in China. It is called Realme V11 5G and comes with Dimensity 700 chipset, two cameras on the back, and a big 5,000 mAh battery.

The front panel is a 6.52” LCD with a waterdrop notch for the 8 MP camera. The resolution of the screen is HD+ with a tall ratio of 20:9. Unsurprisingly, the refresh rate is only 60 Hz. Since the fingerprint scanner cannot be placed underneath, it made its way on the side, acting as a power key.

The camera setup on the back might look like it has three shooters, but there is only one 13 MP main cam + 2 MP depth sensor, the third is actually an AI logo, and the fourth hole is for the LED flash.

Realme V11 5G comes with Realme UI out of the box based on Android 11. The battery is 5,000 mAh, coupled with an 18W fast charger, and thankfully, there is a USB-C port. Other connectivity options include a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.1, and all the latest Wi-Fi 802.11 standards.

The phone is sold in only one memory combination - 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. It can be purchased right away from the company website for CNY1,199 ($185/€155), and users can pick either Blue or Gray color.

It's alright for a 150 range. But stretching to 200 or even 180 can get you a substantial upgrade.
