I really liked the curved display of the original Gear S.
And a square display is better for displaying information.
And it had a bigger display as well.

that E-sim would probably be problematic, if you want to use your main subscription, but move it, for example when you go out clubbing.
And what carriers will support it?

I hope the do a gear S2 edge or something, that is more like the original. But improved batterylife and improved hardware. And I hope they keep the nano-sim, for now.
The charger with built in battery wasn't quite smart, if it came with more juice. Or it could be temporarily used while wearing the watch. My Garmin Vivo active has a charger dock that can be used temporarly while wearing the watch, so you could connect it to a batterypack.

Oh, wow!! Now, that's a smartwatch! Super AMOLED screen is ideal for power management, and mightily impressed that these will have wifi and phone functions. I really hope the battery will be enough. But this is far better than the Apple crap.

Now, if only they can now compete with the power efficiency of a Pebble watch.

IMO, the best designed Smartwatch is still 1st gen Moto 360

why does a smartwatch have to look like a traditional watch ? even moto's 2nd gen doesn't look as good as the first gen

Samsung KILLED it. The UI and the style look amazing, and are amazingly flexible. The Gear S2 and the S2 Classic are easily among the nicest looking smartwatches, and interface is amazing!

The ability to customize (or 'stylize' as they refer to it) the watchface is an incredible feature. And an always-on high-resolution AMOLED screen is a perfect fit for a watch.

                    Interesting.
These LOOKS as the least bad smartwatches available yet. :-)
