For Asus to keep it at $499 with a flagship SoC is the biggest surprise...
I wouldn't mind this if it didn't come Asus. I already have two bad experiences from their products. If this was made by HTC instead, I'd be interested. Asus? No thanks. Never again.
What are you people talking about?!
I have an over 4 yo Samsung Note 4. Still perfect screen with no yellow or any other kind of other hint and no burn in what so ever.
The phone has anything you cant think of, even an IR blaster, not to mention a 16:9 amoled screen.
My only regret is that I cant find a replaceable battery anymore cause... you now... some time ago we can simply swap a dead battery, not spend 1000 E or $ every 2 years for another phone with crappy sealed battery.
My second battery now show signs of fatigue so ill be forced to look for another phone.
And we are still on crappy li-ion batteries for over 10 years!!! Somehow no one wants to move to a superior kind.
We are in 2019 and I can still not find a better phone that mine.
Amazingly poor photo quality! Looks like they spent all time on the motorised camera flipper-upper and totally forgot the camera output.
Having said that, when someone is planning to buy a new phone and wants one with a good camera, that person won't be saying 'better check out the choices from ASUS'!

MODS, please delete this post.
You know, Asus can really use my earlier suggested design (Internally rotating camera) to make this phone even better and to immobilise all moving components from outside...
Because the underlying fundamental in Zenfone 6 is the same as in my design.
Alas, their team might not even be reading this. I wish!
But I'll consider this phone though. Let the review (specially audio quality result) come.
Great initial hands on. I don't need a full review to go with this phone. No doubt the best phone in 2019. We all should be thankful for a no compromise flagship like this beast. Asus perfectly nailed it this time. Definitely going to be my next phone from Asus. Solid Hardware, Combined With Fluid Stock Android With Additional Features (That Make Life Easy) & Great Competitive Pricing. I'm so excited to lay my hands on this beast of a phone.
No Ugly Notch
Dual SIM With Dedicated SD Slot
IPS LCD Over AMOLED (My Preference)
Rear Camera Setup Doubles As Selfie
3.5 mm Jack (Preserved)
Whopping 5000 mAh Battery (Hell Yeah)

[deleted post]The result of the camera is to be seen in depth reviews. And then how good is for the price. But the bloatware is gone. Is an STOCK Android with only few added features although they called it ZenUI again.
This phone actually more creative than motorized Oppo Find X, means this phone has actually great implementation. Not big fan of Asus image processing that has mediocre result, UX seems like not in really simple form and has several bloatware. Beside those downside, it's a good device. Want to hands on this device for more deeper experience.
welp no OIS is a HUGE dealbreaker for me. guess another year to skip then.
Is rear cam and display is better than LG G6 or equivalent? I want to upgrade but these two things are important for me.
The camera is horrible. OMG. That was the focal point of their presentation and my two years old phone makes much better shots than this (skipped).
How to use camera flash below 15 percent of battery cause below 15 camera flash doesn't work , although flashlight is working ..regards

So basically making videos ,clicking picks simultaneously from both front and back cameras are not possible ..
The Panorama thing is a neat trick and ensuring front and back camera makes same, "perfect" quality is also great. Opposed to having separate cameras where front is always worse.
