RhaegR, 24 Dec 2019That's not true. Samsung flagships are now supported for 3+ years. Source: My Galaxy S7Yes and no.
Samsung has clear update timeline for their phones. Their flagships will only get 2 years of major Android upgrades. In case of your S7, it was released with Marshmallow (6) and got updated until Oreo (8).
The rest are security updates, and I do agree that Samsung is doing a fairly good job here, at least better than the past. But since newer Android versions allow easier patching and upgrading the system software, other OEMs are doing a decent job as well.
TL;DR: Software updates are not as critical anymore in differentiating Android handsets between OEMs. All the major OEMs are doing a decent job in updating their handsets.

RhaegR, 24 Dec 2019That's not true. Samsung flagships are now supported for 3+ years. Source: My Galaxy S7Samsung's software support is not bad for security patches, but there is only 2 years of big android/UI udpates. That's not the end of the world since android it's evolving very slowly (it's mature now), but it's normal to expect more from a 1000€ phone.
S Pen having connectivity problems, and Samsung doing nothing to solve the problem. Like all time, all users are stupid, and do not understand nothing. Shame on you samsung with this your point of view to us.

do the math, 23 Dec 2019$380 flagship phone is wiser buy than $1200 shiny plastic hype with pimple hole selfie camera.
It’s not always “wise” to buy a phone that lasts tops 2 years with all the compromises of a budget phone
Some people need their phone for work, also they can spend how they choose

Dear GSMArena, please can you do the Samsung Galaxy Note9 long-term review (in the next month or 2, before the S11 line is due).
Kind regards & many thanks for your great work.
