Compared to the S20+, I'd rather take last year's camera. It looks far better than the S21. I couldn't understand how S21 photos can look so noisy. The S20+ doesn't exhibit such a serious noise level. I do believe that it has something to do with the new chipset's ISP because the camera's image processing software algorithm didn't show any significant change between the two.
TURKEY , 22 Jan 2021i prefer OnePlus 8T it is cheaper and it is more impressive No.
Short review: better endurance and performance, worse cameras and more pricy.
NixxxoN, 22 Jan 2021Calling this amazing device a mid ranger, is nonsense or just trolling.

But I agree with you, Nixon: "Trolls are getting more and more obvious each day. What a shame."
And the nick is terrible choice for promoting anything.
NixxxoN, 22 Jan 2021Bad battery? Are you kidding right?? 30% better than last year's S20. First small Samsung... moreCut out this promoting cr.., Nixon. This could be the best midranger at most, looking at the specs. But looking at the test results it has nothing to do with "best".
Shriker, 22 Jan 2021Could GSMArena put the name of the reviewer on the reviews? For future reference i'd like... moreExactly. I appreciate Arena does those reviews for us (especially the long awaited S21 one) but can't trust their camera judgement since A8 failure. And here it's obvious that S21 picture quality is worse for all three rear cams with ultrawide been universally terrible. Selfie cam is the only lucky exception.
S21 and S21+ sound like a Lite versions and not a real "S" premium series.
Could GSMArena put the name of the reviewer on the reviews? For future reference i'd like to keep note of the individual who thinks this camera is as good as the S20+, despite putting the images side by side and still not being capable of noticing. What are you thinking guys!?

This is nice !
Exynos 1080 in Vivo posts 640k score on AnTutu and
Exynos 2100 585k ?
The numbers don't really add up.
I highly believe it's a software thing. As S21 series are running pre release software.
in Speed Test G Exynos beat the SD version in CPU as it's supposed to do. Though Exynos loses overall because of the GPU.
I want to see the benchmark score after the release.
Oh what miserable and disappointing results.
Hopefully the S21Ultra will do better, because that's what I intend to buy.
DrakeX, 22 Jan 2021Did you read my comment properly? I didn't now that I re read , completely missed that your said "former"
This year Samsung really dropped the ball on their S series and to me only S21 Ultra is worth looking into among the entire S21 lineup. And I'm being honest here, I would legitimately consider getting Xperia 5 II over this if it was available in my country. You lose a bright 800 nits display and a good quality selfie shooter, but gain a glass back, IP65 rating, significantly better battery life, cameras with somewhat more pleasing image processing + more versatile manual mode, an expandable storage and a headphone jack instead. It's just a better product all things considered, plain and simple.
There's nothing attractive about this phone when I can get last year's S20 (which is actually better than this in some ways) for a lot less. I guess losing their biggest rival in the Android space two years ago made them feel like they could just play around and do nothing to compete in the market, I'm hoping that Xiaomi and BBK will drive Samsung into a tight corner and open their eyes.
Nick Tagataka, 22 Jan 2021P40 lacks an OIS which should give S21 massive 2-3 stops of exposure time advantage, so even i... moreNo, it does not.
P20 Pro does not have OIS as well. And wiped floor with S9.
Having OIS, does not mean auto mode will necessarily drop shutter to 1/2s, 1/4 or 1/8s to grab more light.
My phone does not have OIS.
I can easily handle 1/2s shutter without blur.
All I need to do is to use two hands.
