Hav had the phone for 3 days and had to recharge it 2 times already. I have used the bluetooth alot...maybe this is why. One other thing i don't like about the phone is the missing function copy all to sim. Otherwise it's a great phone and glad i moved from Nokia to Samsung.
actually it`s not an opinion it`s a question..dose D500 have two batteries or it has only one!!!
Hi Bosaros guess what i like samsung d-500 too because it has 96mb that could save almost 25 chute and about 26 bosaras, and now the stuff that i'am about to so say is very chute look ka like it can also choud 25mb of mak bosara so i think it's the best mobile out there.
It's not an opinion but a question. Some people tell me it's best to let the battery die completely till phone goes off, other tell me to just recharge when battery is low. Are there any experts here who know this? Thanx
I love this phone. Its quite a machine. The only thing is, I don't like the SMS alert tones, they're quite boring. When I download SMS alert tones, it only gives me the option to save as Caller ID or Ringtone.
Amazing phone purchased one through Ebay excellent features, bluetooth works with no problem, reception is great took it to the Caribbean talked for hours, also cam is amazing pictures are best in the light, in the dark not so good, overall a good phone, BUY IT!
I recently bought this phone and it`s the bomb!I love it,..but the only thing that I dislike it`s my batery! If i use for a few hours the mp3 or the cam,the batery it`s droping fast...and finally, dies!:)) But in rest it`s one of the best phonezz on the market! U should buy it 2!peace 2 every body!
every time i send somthin though bluetooth i have to have a pastcode to send it and so does the person im sending it to is there any way i can take this off.
D500 has recently been added to the list of Mobiledit supported devices, a very useful tool to manage phone content and get new features, that makes it a cool accessory for many phones.

Another note about the D-500:
I’m not sure why people in the US are buying foreign versions. There is a US version that comes equipped with the charger that has the 110 volt plug and an American English manual. This is what I have--and it works great.
About the slide: There are no actual switches. It is activated by an internal magnet. So, it’s impossible to break the connection. Try this simple experiment. Hold your D-500 near a magnet and watch it activate--as if the slide just opened.
With regards to the screen. It can be read outside in direct sunlight. Also, many people--like myself--who need reading glasses will still be able to read the screen.
Ronnie, I'm not sure where you got your info. You appear to be completely misinformed. T-Mobile is 1900 on a single-band phone. If it's a dual phone, it's 1900 and 900. If it's a tri-band, it will be 1900, 900, 1800--respectively.
Cingular has only just introduced the 850 frequency This happened when it acquired other--smaller--rural carries into its family.
I use the D-500 in San Diego with many, many hills and valleys. San Diego is notorious for its difficulty in mobile reception problems. However, my D-500 It works as good as any other GSM phone I've had--Nokia, Sony Ericsson, etc. However, it's functionality and menu system is far superior. (Of course that's my opinion)
O.K., now to dispel the carrier and frequency myth. T-Mobile owns all the Cingular and AT&T towers. If I’m not near a T-Mobile tower, my phone simply roams--without any interruption in service or my awareness--onto the Cingular network. Also, all unlocked phones in the San Diego area--including the D-500 will say “Cingular“--even thought it’s on the T-Mobile network. This is a old programming glitch due to the FCC regulations when the towers and software were initiated.
So, if you are having reception problems, it’s ether you are not near to a tower, you have a defective phone, or you need to switch to T-Mobile.
hellow fellows... after so much time thinking about buying or not this phone,I´ve decided myself..I will.... why it doesn´t have a radio if it has I would already bought this, but I´ll try to make the MP3 player works like one.. in the other hand here in brazil we don´t have good local radio so I´m fine with that.....and I love to wacth video clips and I just can´t wait to buy this phone, I´m just saving money and looking forward to the DAY OF D500...... My friends D500 can have silent as the shutter sound but my phone doesn't have that option. I have gone to "settings" "shutter sound" but it doesn't have the option to choose "none". I bought my phone on ebay from hong kong and was wondering weather different countries had different phones?
