ive just got this phone and i have a few niggles.
1.camera is not very good in dull or dark situations, and flash doesnt help much.
2. does not have the zoom in feature once u have taken the picture like the e900 has.
3.cant add your own message tone, very annoying since the ones they provide are awfull.
4. wider and longer than it needs to be.
5 wasted space.... could have used a larger screen.
You can upload songs from a pc. I use a card-reader for better speed. If you want to use the phone's cable you must set "USB setting" as "mass storage" in order to acces the card.
Why somebody need a 2g card? You are limited at 4 playlists with 22 songs each so why bother at all? 512mb will be enough. Video can not be saved on the card.
The sound is very clear and very loud on my phone.
Battery life can be 4 days if you talk 10-20min/day or 2 days at 1h/day. I manage to discharge the battery in only 1 day talking 2 hours. So is not a phone for people who are talking intensively.
Overall a VERY good phone. I'm really impressed. I owned over 30 phones because I never keep a phone more than 2-3 month because in that time I got over 90 hours on the phone and can get damaged in any time so I prefer to sell it and get a new one.
to slidefone ghost
I have this fone for 1 month and it's great
it's comfortable only a bit wide but it's ok cuz it's very slim with 3mpx camera.Battery life is good 3-4 days. I'dont listen to music because i have an ipod .I'm very happy with dis fone

my samsung d900 has hardly any signal usualy one bar even wen i go outside, other mobile phones used in my house all have full bars. i dont receive messages unless i ring someone. is my phone faulty or do i need to change my settings. does anyone know?
The phone supports USB 2.0 and, as far as I can believe Samsung's ppts - HTML (and really, which phone in this class doesn't support HTML).
Thks for ur info but do you know what all the Rx levels (1,2,3,4..etc.) stands for?
i am not happy with the battery life of my d900. it is a good phone easy to use. i love it
Hi, I need a bit of help concerning the d900.
I currently have the e900 and its actually a nice fone. The only thing that dissapoints me is that it can only take a video clip to a certain amount of memory. Im thinking
about trading my e900 in for a d900 but people say that its battery life stinks, its volume is jacked up and it cant take an hour video clipping ( like the d600 )
What i like about my e900 is that it has about a week's battery life.( depending how much u use it)For a time i didnt use it that much so my battery lasted 10 days.
I love the d900 design and camera but is it worth the battery problem and volume?
Love to get some DECENT answers, not some !@#$%^ that some people post!
hi..actualy this is not an opinion..this a simple message from me..i like a sumsung d900 i wish to buy that soon..i love this sumsung d900...unique and wonderful..thank you
Can someone PLEASE comfirm if the 2gb sandisk microsd card work with this phone. So far, only one person has confirm it. Really want to know before spending double the money on a 2gb.
its odd for features to be missd out as i automaticaally expect bigger models to have the last features allready there ...slideshow would have been good.and other bits & pieces from the older d500,,d600 etc.Im using n80 as well but really liking this fone all i ever did was complain about the d600 appalling battery life.ALL i want is the message alert to be audible its ridiculous i dont know why we put up with it what are they thinking seriously.Samsung give lovely really helpfull email replies :NOT: they dont even give you any direction they say just look at the website,,,hell fire most websites are out of date & dont contain any info that you need....Most people here a beep,,tinkle or silly ditty & know they have a message ,, youve no chance with this model but it is good tho in a other wise fantastic way
Hello Guys, I just got the samsung d900 and it looks really really good. But the problem is I can't even get any calls/ messages or anything! I put my sim card in the way it's supposed to be but nothing happens. It recognises the service provider but no calls, messages or anything. Pls help me thanks so much
Yes, music can be played in background. You can also play Java games and listen music in the same time. When you receive a phonecall, after you finish talking, music will resume playing. Overall a very well made phone, very light and thin, amazing camera with autofocus!! Battery life is between 2-3 days intensive use and max 4 days normal use.
The best phone I owned so far.
can anybody tell me if this phone can multitask? like playin music in the background while games or things like that.
>>>>Second ? is the only way to get data to the card with a standalone usb card reader?>>
Answer, Yes, using the USB cable/charger that comes with the handset. But first you must go to the settings......USB settings in phone and choose MASS STORAGE. Its slower than a USB card reader and I chooose to use the card reader to load with my D600.
The more I read about the D900 the more I think I will wait until the next model from Samsung. I also HATE the idea of not being able to save to the TF card. Stupid...and another function they should put in is choosing landscape mode for viewing mpg's or photos.
Adding wifi might also be nice.
D900 and transflash: Trying to figure this out. Is it best to think of the microSD as offline storage? That's to say it is not directly available to the phone; any data that is on it (microsd) needs to be moved to the phone's builtin memory to be available to the phone's features?
Second ? is the only way to get data to the card with a standalone usb card reader?
