Samsung Galaxy A50 - user opinions and reviews

New College student in the US. Just bought A50 with T-mobile as carrier and unlimited plan. Found it slow and not connecting fast, downright out in some locations. Was told that A50 is not compatible with T-mobile 4G tech, but with lower 3G. Solutions suggested: change carrier or another phone. Any thoughts/advice please?

The accidental touch protection is way below par. When in my pocket, it opens n number of times. Absolute crap.
The biggest let down is the camera. Let Samsung declare that the good cameras are reserved only for high end models. We will atleast start using other brands who offer better camera at lower prices. Even the daylight photos are with high pixelation even at 5% zoom, after shooting the scene.
Unless Samsung fixes these two features immediately, this is the worst crap phone at this level.

But even if it wasnt, I still would go for OneUI over MIUI because of it being user-friendly and having earlier-than-official-android features. Easier and more fun to use over half-android half-ios lookin MIUI
Its all about the one using it tho depends on what the person likes. OneUI is heavily customized and I prefer that.
Also Extra sensitivity option is to prevent the screen protector from preventing your usage not faster experience.

How do you prove your statement when you don't have the phones yourself anyway? Tip: Touch sensitivity has nothing to do with UI performance.

For these people that says "wait until you get burn in", don't worry, burn in takes a long time to happen, and usually I change phone before it (every 3 years I change phone)

Not just SAMSUNG only, Xiaomi Redmi phones also have its own security app to protect the phone and find it when you lost the phone.
Make sure that you have used the phone yourself before you post the false comments here next time.
Pop up camera is a new trend for phone now, SAMSUNG also will follow this trend soon.

Or the life of the phons being almıst completed (being used for over 4 years or so.
I never had an amoled burn. My 2015 j7 is perfectly fine
My moms j5 2015 has really bad amoled burns, which is probably because of my mom using it at max brightness (most moms do)

Also when buying a phone you want good hardware AND software/services. Xiaomi UI is terrible and lacks of cool features that One UI has. Also, xiaomi phones doesn't have services like the ones in A50 (bixby, samsung pass,samsung cloud,samsung knox,samsung find my phone...).
Mi 9T has a motorised popup cam that may get stuck, so stick to guaranteed solution (yet a bit intrusive) notch
Last point: Mi 9T SAR value is ×5 of A50 , so in the same usage you will get ×5 more radiations over using A50.
