SAP, 18 Mar 2011Yatin, thanks for the useful reply. Have you find any improvement in the battery life in the s... moreHi SAP,

I had given my battery usage in 2 prev posts. i feel the battery is getting better after some charge cycles. I got 41 hrs battery life during last cycle and i have almost 15% battery left now. I had low voice call usage - 37 mins, and moderate other usage - display on for 2.5 hrs - i did a lot of browsing, maps and some games and apps.

I did have a look at wave 2, but didnt go for it bcos of BADA os. i think android is far better. u might not get the bada version of many interesting apps.

I thought this information would be useful to users. I have taken this from wikihow. I found it useful because i used to charge Li-ion batteries like Ni-cd, which now i know is wrong.

DO NOT fully discharge a lithium-ion battery! Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries' life is shortened every time you fully discharge them. Instead, charge them when the battery meter shows one bar left. Lithium-ion batteries, like most rechargeable batteries, have a set number of charges in them.

jeffin, 22 Mar 2011hey everyone i am confused...........plz help I have 4 options 1.samsung galaxy ace s5830 2... moreget the ace. its screen is bigger, and much better than wildfire. also don't go for wave (1 or 2) since bada OS has very, very, very few apps (maybe 1,000 or less in bada store). Stick to Android and get better apps from Android market which has 200,000 apps now.

Sound quality is good. But battery drains a little more compared to other samsung devices.

No, the C7 is NOT BETTER than anything, much less the galaxy Ace.

While C7 does have a better camera (but without auto-focus), its Symbian OS is very painfully slow, and features are still very limited. So far, Nokia only added multi-touch to Symbian 3, but everything else is same -- web browsing is soooo very slow, downloading is even slower, and syncing is problematic. Don't even try chat, IM, or using a widget for IM -- the OS will freeze. These problems Nokia cannot fix until now.

Perhaps if you will buy C7 just to use the camera.. but I advise you buy a stand-alone camera if that is the case -- its much cheaper.

@prasanth
Yep, I agree. I take 800 mhz+278mb RAM, over 600 mhz + 512 RAM anyday. My galaxy Ace is chok full of apps and LWP, but it still works smoothly, no hanging up or freezing.

Most people over-rate the importance of RAM. Speed is more impt than RAM, in actual use. You only need big RAM if you multi-task or use many apps all at the same time (which I rarely do), but you need high CPU speeds coz it affects how fast your phone responds to swiping, internet browsing, edit docs, syncing, emailing, etc.

Over-all I am happy with the Ace coz -- aside from the good 800 mhz CPU speed, built-in froyo 2.2, 5 mp camera with LED flash, and 3.5" screen with 16mil colors -- it comes in-built with all the apps you will need such as document editor (ThinkFree), task manager, file manager, SWYPE, and Google Maps + Navigation.

For about $350 unlocked, that's a Good Value. And the Ace performs admirably in everyday use.

Go get the Ace. I recommend it.
