bob, 04 Mar 2015a compare with note 3 who battery is 3200 amp !!! note 3 4-5 h non stop on wifi the iphone 6 ... moreSigh...why do I feed the bob-troll?
As far as battery life goes, it's:
Note 3 < iPhone6+ < Galaxy S5 < Note 4
They are all pretty close actually, but this is from fairly accurate testing, not a made up "how it feels" opinion that "bob" likes to pull outta thin air.
dexter, 04 Mar 2015That's because the iPhone 6 plus is a bigger phone with a bigger battery. Compare the 6 Plus w... morePlus the S5 beats the iPhone6+ in battery tests, though it's a close battle. The batteries are nearly the same, 2800 vs 2915, screens are both 1080p, and battery life nearly the same. They both beat the Note 3 barely and the Note 4 beats both of them barely. This is all based on GSMArena's battery endurance tests, which I trust for the most part.
Nikolain, 04 Mar 2015About 40% of A8 are still produced by Samsung also TSMC lost to Samsung for its 14nm Node that... moreWell iFixIt's teardown of an iPhone6 clearly shows Elpida memory, so maybe they made it for some of the iPhone6's.
I didn't realize Samsung made that many of the A8/A8X chips, interesting. I thought it was going to be all TSMC.
Samsung beat people to the punch for their semi-fake 14nm, and it looks like the A9 will be made by Samsung. And the LPDDR4 lead that they have is going to be good for them, too. Man Samsung is huge. I guess Apple has no choice but to use Samsung parts, lol!
bob, 04 Mar 2015i hawe samsung s5 and iphone 6 plus ,the 6 plus hawe a two thimes more juice then s 5 it last ... moreSorry Bob, wrong again. Your personal experience does not disprove the fairly scientific battery life tests on sites like GSMArena where the S5 does in fact outlast the iPhone6+, though it's really close actually (S5 = 83h rating, 6+ = 79h rating). I'm pretty sure the S6 will have nearly as good battery life as both the S5 and iPhone6+, probably just a hair less. Just go back to your iPhone6+ that you think lasts twice as long as your S5...
I don't like the way Samsung is ruining it's prestige by imitating apple and making devices with limited features.
It's a very stupid strategy to reduce your capability to become like someone who is tracking you...
Why someone should do that?
Samsung is trying to emulate iphone. everybody know this. Im talking about features , not about design
Michael Parker, 05 Mar 2015Apple is almost like a religion and there is studies to show that, And the reason most iPhone ... moreI do understand but i'm more open minded as all my posts suggest it.
I know many people who use Apple not because it's a religion, but because it's more "hassle-free" and more consistant than most android devices.
Don't tell me that the one time you wanted to demo something on your phone, it had to slow down or lag just that one time instead of opening fastly as usual ?
Also story : I had a "smart" friend, really bright, who was used to "dumb phones" and who had an ipad.
He decided to buy some Kazam phone (western brand for Gionee i heard), and guess what :
after 4 months of owning it, one day he complained to me about his phone not being able to put his contact list correctly.
I asked what's wrong, he told me each time he adds a contact he doesn't know where it goes etc.. So basically he uses only history to call someone.
I had to guess on phone that the sorting order was incorrect and that he never heard about the "menu" button. When i taught him that, he was like, damn iphone is so much simpler. And this is from a guy who was physicist.
Got many stories about android and people vs Apple and people. So for me, it's only a question of knowing or wanting to know.
Aleske, 05 Mar 2015If Samsung is so great why can’t they come up with a unique design? By unique i mean complete... moreLike a triangle totally transparent phone with rear camera on the side and no speaker holes at all Tiny enough to enter any pocket ?
Would you buy that ?
m86k, 05 Mar 2015The point is that you are all having a useless discussion. It's not a religion. I don't know w... moreApple is almost like a religion and there is studies to show that, And the reason most iPhone users don't complain is that almost no one who enjoys and understands their phone would want an iPhone because they are just so limited, and you just can't seem to comprehend that a huge amount of us buying the Galaxy just don't sit back and take what we're given like you expect people to.
Michael Parker, 05 Mar 2015You obviously have no idea of the sort of people who get contacts if you think money is no big... moreOr maybe you are the one being to narrow minded. Because you can't categorize people being under or without contracts.
Price was an argument pushed around over here.
I agree it's a good argument if buying a brand new unlocked version. So your 100$ steps makes "a bit of sense" (see my previous posts for the quotes) money speaking.
Then you entered the subject of people under contracts.
Sorry to tell you that, this is totally different.
Maybe i was a bit strong on words saying they can afford. But between paying 900$ for a phone or 300$, i don't give the same importance to the pricing argument.
Dear Sam you screwed up again by not having SD card slot ,removable battery or bigger battery in its present configuration for the last 8 yrs I have bough your products note 1 note 2 note 3 S4 S5 and note 4 when note 6 would hit the market I planned to be in line and be the first on my block to sport it however not his time Sam
If Samsung is so great why can’t they come up with a unique design? By unique i mean complete different, not similar to a BETTER phone brand?!
Aleske, 05 Mar 2015Could this design look anymore like the Iphone 6?! Lol!?To all kids saying, "hello iphone 6's bottom", here you go, since you don't know how to click on this nice database's site :

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2015This is not an iphone 6 copy.. Samsung had this design before the ibend 6.. check the samsun... moreThe downer part that connects the back panel and front panel of device is a copy from iPhone 6 and 6 plus.Ativ S has a different shape in that part.So before posting comments be wise and research and think and don't comment nonsense opinions here.Thanks.
Steve Max, 05 Mar 2015"Can't afford" isn't the point. The point is to consider the cost/benefit ratio of t... moreThe point is that you are all having a useless discussion. It's not a religion. I don't know what you are trying to preach and prove if internal + microsd addition.
People gets what they want to get.
If for you, you need such a ratio before buying a phone, this can't be suitable for everyone. See Iphone users for example ? Each iphone sells at least 2 times more than one Galaxy S. Do they spent their time argueing about microsd card slot ? I don't think so.
Myself, i use a lot of space too yes. Would i need to complete with a microsd card slot ? Not if i have 64/128gb on board, at least for this year.
Why would i carry 128gb of same data everyday on me ?
Do i need that everyday? Like watching 3gb pdf's for work, 10 4K movies, listening to 30gb music, having 30gb apps ? All in same time everyday? Do you know how long a battery last and how many hours you stay awake everyday? That's the things to ask yourself if you have a problem with "not enough" space, give me my microsd slot for a phone.
When i go on vacation for 1 month abroad, i don't fill my phone but one hard drive and my tablet's microsd (because with such a bigger screen, there you can enjoy your data).
Personnaly, i have bought 4 phones last year. Not because i'm rich or something, i have 3 different carriers and on the contrary of you, i like smartphones and tech. Maybe you will prefer spend that money on your computer or car or movies. But i like those pieces of tech. So i'm not specially buying a 64/128gb phone telling me, damn, there's no sd slot, how will i manage this in 3 years?
Data come and go, we all have computers in here, so we can clean up if necessary, take stuff back, put others.
Now, all like taking examples of big microsd cards but i'm sure that 90% of you haven't bought a 128gb micro sd and didn't intend to before at least 6 months (time prices go below 50$).
