I even find the split screen after the nougat a bloatware, yes, how many people use this feature? None, what i meant by pure is actually stock Android, if Sony having issues with selling their smartphones because of stock Android, then how is Apple always scoring the highest sales with their IOS every year, what innovations Sony brought? The least i known is Waterproof design, front facing stereo speakers, camera on-chip memory followed by super slow motion video "which is Samsungs aiming to copy next year with their S9", 3D picture creator... Samsung been always in rush to copy others manufacturers ideas especially Sony's, what did Samsung invent? The so called wireless charging "which is actually not wireless lol", the edged displays where most people are dodging it, however go ask apple fans about Android they will answer you NO buggy Samsung, nevertheless my purpose here weren't to degrade Samsung mobiles or praise Sony over Samsung, it was that the people who are always in rush to buy the Samsung mobile then they are more in rush to drop their massive complaints, Samsung is Samsung never changed.

But Sony is changing to OLED screen technology and bezeless screens in 2018. Again, after the other major brands have already pioneered it all.

Totally wrong. Sony is NOT pure Android, Sony slightly customizes its UI. But Sony adds more... moreSony and htc are the drowning tier 1 brands... Just because of the fact, they try their least to do something innovative, HTC atleast tries but sony is least bothered about it...
These companies (Lg also) used to loot customers by offering low end specs and premium pricing... But the chinese brands like oneplus, xiaomi are totally changing the game now... But are these brands mending their ways, a BIG 'NO'... Sony, htc, LG, still overprice their phones at the launch and then reduce the pricing after a few months because no one is interested in them... The only brand that has survived is samsung, but samsung also doesn't provide good quality control now....

These slight features just compliment the UI and once someone gets used to them it feels odd without them... And the stutters and sluggishness were the story 2-3 years back, the latter has now evovled...
First of all your sony doesn't have pure andriod... Its also some kind of UI... Secondly, every company is copying each other in different things, google introduced multi window with andriod nougat, which was present since the galaxy note 3... Samsung copied the touch id from apple...
Samsung likes to compliment their users with little features, just like xiaomi and some other brands... These complimentary features are not present in stock andriod, simple as that...
Btw, you didn't answer me... What's the last innovative thing that sony has done in the smartphone platform?

Totally wrong. Sony is NOT pure Android, Sony slightly customizes its UI. But Sony adds more bloatware apps than other brands. But the worst is that you can't uninstall Sony bloatware. This causes laggy and stuttering and shutdowns in Sony phones.
Thats why Sony sales are declining so much and not even in the top 10 of phones now. The general public has become quite savvy with phones and they are avoiding Sony in general.
Samsung offers its touchwiz with numerous useful features and simplifies many tasks. Google Android is designed for numerous designs and specifications. Too many to list here. Google Android is designed for basic, working applications. But, extra featureas can be added.
Shhzd amar, 10 Oct 2017Hehe.... You lost the bet, I had a oneplus 3 previously... Just switched to the S7 a few days... moreThe truth is that i have never missed a software feature ever, but in the other hand my smartphone never lagged or stuttered, the features which you are talking about or the Touchwise in general are bloatwares, Sony offers pure Android software with excellent performance especially through the time unlike Samsung, tell me why is Google doesn't offer these which you are calling features in their Pixels smartphones or Oneplus, and don't tell me that Samsung is more advanced than Google in software that would be ridiculous.

Just tell me the last innovative thing that your prestigious Xperia has done? I'm not saying that Samsung is an excellent brand but that doesn't make it bad either, just list out the features Samsung experience has and your xperia has it too? I guess none and that's the reason for the late updates, the UI is huge and heavy and requires lot of hardwork...

Shhzd amar, 09 Oct 2017Its October and S7 is still on the August patch... Isn't it a bit late?My midrange Sony xperia x smartphone is on October security patch from 5 days, Samsung always been late in updates, i bit you been using Samsung smartphones from centuries, and every time you buy a new smartphone you guys come out and complain about buggy software, late updates etc.. I mean this is the service level they been always offering, either switch to another brand or you should stop complaining IMAO.

Either people have incorrectly updated or are unfamilar using Android 7. Its Sony that is known for its buggy updates as Sony tries to release so fast, that why its very buggy. Plus Sony has the most bloatware that can't be uninstalled which makes Sony phones the most laggy and unstable. There are reasons why S7 has been so sucessfull, while Sonys are having the highest failure rates. Sony sales are dwindling and now not even in the top 10 smartphones.

Shhzd amar, 07 Oct 2017You can alternatively disable the fast charging in settings...Have already disabled the fast charging but still, the charging is very fast with the bundled fast charger. Even with a 2V/1.5A charger, the charging time is pretty much the same. Not that I've a complaint regarding fast charging. It's a great feature. And it's normal to heat up during charging. The heat gradually reduces as the battery charges over certain percent. Most of the smartphones do get warm while on charge. I was looking for a way to reduce my S7 getting warm during charging. My room remains pretty cool, so tried charging with the case removed but not much effect. I guess, I've to deal with it.
