I go to chill with my colleagues at pubs etc very other week. It's more of a lifestyle and what kind of people you mix with, rather than age. Even a 60 year old man goes to pub.
And ovviously SGS image quality is not splendid even in the day. It is just mediocre at best.
I just bought SGS today. I have some question to ask
first how to we check the lifetimer?(usuage) and how to check the firmware?
I previously used Nokia while i have to type *#0000# to check the phone firmware and *#92702689# to check phone life timer, how about SGS?
Thanks in advanced..

Most... moreObviously there are some haters of desire constantly pulling the points of desire down. It dropped from 4th to out of top ten in less than a week. And I can prove that there is at least one person doing so. He said so himself on the desire's forum. His name is ranking ruler. He is a SGS fans. He keeps coming to desire forum and say bad stuff about desire and then say stuff like 'galaxy s rocks' etc. He admitted that he will keep putting 1,1,1 for desire, until he falls out of the board. What a sick SGS fan.
Guys ..why u not talking about SWYPE ...Its the bestest text input method ever and i guess only SGS has it ...its simply awesome and is very very fast ...simply love it on my SGS
I need some apps for:
- recording calls with no beep.
- block/filter calls/sms, with black list.
- Unblock screen with password.
Any names? Android has such apps?

The Super AMOLED screen used in the galaxy is far better than the regular AMOLED used in the desire. Goodluck using a desire in the sunlight lol. Galaxy wins
hi all, 09 Sep 2010How often do people take photos in the dark? Very often, especially for those who frequent pub... moreI don't carry a camera around I use my galaxy which takes very good pictures and the quality stays good printing 5*7 prints. Obviously I use a real camera for money shots. When you actually grow up and stop going to places in the dark with your school friends you might realise how useless led flash is unless you want a torch.
TC, 09 Sep 2010The optical trackball on Desire makes it much easier to edit text on Desire than on Galaxy S. ... moreSo go shout about the poor desire on the desire page not here this is for the galaxy s only it is your track ball not working properly.
Having a camera flash is nice, but even a dozen LEDs don't do justice to a poor camera. Flash is just like cream in a salad, it cannot put anything that wasn't there in the first place.
What bothers me about the HTC phones, in general, is their poor camera. Regardless of mp, HTC phones have "dark" hues, even when shot indoors with lots of light. I tried testing an HTC Desire in a showroom with SWATHES of spotlights everywhere, and the pic of the salesman still looks soo bluishly dark. It is a shame that you have to turn on the flash to take pics EVEN when indoors with lots of light !!!
In contrast, the Galaxy S took in the "natural light" in the same showroom, and the shot looks like it is INSIDE a showroom -- blinding bright, good color exposure, detailed the people's hair and clothing, etc. With the Galaxy S, I don't need a flash so much, but with HTC, unless you actually like dark hues on your pics, you HAVE to turn the flash on everytime you shoot anything.
TC, 08 Sep 2010I agree that a secondary camera for video-calls should be considered standard on a high-end to... moreYou should make a complaint to Samsung. Seriously. You paid money for specifications that do not work.
I'm just wondering. With the Xperia X1, u have 3 options for scrolling: the optical mouse pad, the navigation keys and dragging your screen up/down and sideways. With the SGS, the only option is by dragging the screen and then with editing text, moving to the right spot could also b a prob, or am I to spoiled with the three OPS with the X1?
Look at the phone ratings and votes galaxy at top......desire is nowhere near to it...... Most of the ppl likes galaxy and they never gona change their decisions by seeing those stupid comments like Tc and hi all
galaxy, 08 Sep 2010Again Again Again I say my galaxy s is amazing with nothing wrong with it I don't need a led f... more s u r rite galaxy is best and amazing phone ever great battery back up than desire, more memory than desire which has limitations in which u can't even play games and can't use more apps.. Great gpu than desire great amoled screen than desire, great divix play back than desire, great music than desire, great performance than desire, 1280x740 screen size play back which is impossible on desire......
If u hav to say the drawback its only the gps that will be solved in froyo sure because we have seen the problem solved in jpc test Rom already so such a great phone when compared to desire its 100% sure..... Lets proud to be a the owner of great galaxy.....
The optical trackball on Desire makes it much easier to edit text on Desire than on Galaxy S. Desire is definetly a more alround phone than Galaxy S.

zoomer, 08 Sep 2010Dude people can read the specs. No ones here advertising to buy sgs... Here we are suggesting ... moreHelping others? By saying SGS is a perfect phone and saying it is the best blindly? If you want to help people, they will appreciate more if you can list down the pros and cons of the phone honestly, and not just disregarding the cons.
