About the case cracking issue, why isn't Sony Ericsson doing anything about it???
Why haven't they officially confirmed or denied it???
Why haven't they replaced the plastic case with a full metallic one to stop cracks from recurring???
Why are they still selling this handset???
Don't they have any concerns for their consumers or responsibilities for their products???
Nowshad, 05 Dec 2009From where I can install windows 6.5 verson?Sony Ericsson will not be releasing a Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade for Xperia X1
So officially its not available. See this :
You have to flash your phone with a cooked ROM.
Read about it here :
And you will find the xda developers link here :
I personally will not advice for it because there is nothing much changed in WinMo 6.5.

french129, 05 Dec 2009im buying a new phone next week.xperia or se aino?i dont know what to choose.HELP!Dont you have a third option.
Your choice should be based on you priorities i.e. what do you want from your phone.
Aino is a non smart phone purely based on multimedia with an 8 MPx camera but an average quality screen.
X1 on the other hand is capable of everything that Aino can do apart from taking 8 MPx pictures.
X1 also have a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.
I think Aino is priced similar to HTC Touch Diamond2. You can think about that as well, its not much different from X1. You get a little larger screen and 5 mp camera in exchange for a Qwerty keypad and 3.5mm audio jack.
just got a an experia and i was wondering f it was possible to upgrade the software to win 6.5? any ideas?

unknowngirl, 04 Dec 2009which one is better xperia x1 or lg renoir??Do a comparison
Here's one :
positives of Renoir over X1-
8 MPx camera
1 or 2 GB internal memory
slow motion video recording
a little more pocket friendly
not a smart phone
Poor quality display
relatively lower capacity battery
positives of X1 over Renoir-
full QWERTY keypad
Windows Mobile Smart phone
case cracking design flaw
screen size is small for some (though same as Renoir)
ravi, 04 Dec 2009you are right jenei. disply is definetly small. it is very dificult to use x1 without stylus.i... moreI think its not fair to say that screen is small.
Its already 3.0".
And big or small is comparative.
I think it's all about individual choice and taste.
Also larger screen means broader phone in width and this makes it less pocketable.
So everybody should make their own choices rather than getting into generalizations.
jenei r, 04 Dec 2009the display is very very small!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are right jenei. disply is definetly small. it is very dificult to use x1 without stylus.it is the drawback of all widows mobile..over android and iphones mac which are finger frendly
firstname.lastname@example.org, 04 Dec 2009Toshiba TG01
OS :Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6... morePrice is : UKŁ425 (Ł488.75 inc VAT)
Turns out to be INR 32,740, but this seems unlikely because pricing is mostly based on MPs of camera and this has 3.2, so it'll definitely be less than or probably equal to Touch Diamond2 (around 27k).
ravi, 04 Dec 2009toshiba runs on which platform? what should be the cost? any idea..Toshiba TG01
OS :Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5
CPU : Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor
256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM
Check it out:
ravi, 04 Dec 2009i also hate phones witout touch screen . my reqirment is all the three . qwert. touch screen a... moreI'm from Mumbai but the source of info is the net, so there's not much difference between us.
And about what your requirement is have you considered Xperia X2 (Sony Ericsson though..) with WinMo.
But I think if Toshiba launches TG01 in India it'll be amazing cause with the large 4.1" screen, the on screen QWERTY keyboard wont be bad and with 1GHz processor and 256 MB RAM, the panning and navigating can be smooth on the touch screen itself.
What do you think?
