robertkoa, 13 Sep 2014Yes but the Galaxy S5 Mini has a much louder Speaker ( look at the Chart ) BUT Galaxy S5 Mini... moreThe average volume is your complain, and u shamelessly compare the toyish plasticky S5 mini just like it's big brother. "Xperia Z3 Compact comes with built-in Digital Noise Cancelling technology that reduces exterior noise by up to 98% when paired with the MDR-NC31EM headset. The technology removes the lower-frequency parts of the noise, preventing the high-frequency part of it from reaching the ear. This way, a noisy bus or a busy shopping centre won’t stand in the way of a great listening experience."
Philipp, 13 Sep 2014Pity it doesn't have capacitive buttons like the Galaxy Alpha. If you factor the nav buttons i... moreYour Alpha is an experimental device, I tried one in a shop and its sharp edges made it uncomfortable to hold. The on screen buttons will disappear on video playback and for SMS or other functions full screen isn't necessary, whereas with your alpha you need to stretch your fingers to reach out the further areas. The flaps doesn't take many seconds to open/close when recharging- btw recharging is every 2 days only unlike your Alpha which has half the battery life of Z3C yet twice expensive. Now u are so narrowmineded to think that waterproofing is only for swimming purposes-it's a protection anytime anywhere and considering Z3C is dustproof, while u and your Alpha eats dust anytime. You're Alpha is a desperate attempt to copy Iphone which has the same lame battery.

Philipp, 13 Sep 2014Pity it doesn't have capacitive buttons like the Galaxy Alpha. If you factor the nav buttons i... moreI agree - I'd prefer that they go back to a physical buttons (a design like on the 2011 Xperia Mini Pro would be good.
However, I don't have a problem with the flaps. A magnetic charging dock solves that problem.
Pity it doesn't have capacitive buttons like the Galaxy Alpha. If you factor the nav buttons in, the screen is massively smaller than the Alpha's. Otherwise, I'd have gotten that one in a heartbeat.
(one other note: what's with those flaps? I'd care much for for easy connectivity than the possibility to go swimming with my phone...)
XXX13, 12 Sep 2014The low volume is due to the water resistance that the phone have.
Yes but the Galaxy S5 Mini has a much louder Speaker ( look at the Chart ) BUT Galaxy S5 Mini is much louder than Alpha also.
Almost as though these Manufacturers pay no attention to the Speakerphones.
Especially after reading about "Sony Force Surround Stereo Speakers"- it IS strange that they are low or average in Volume/Clarity !
i canot find where is the contrast ratio i know what an infinity sign mean but what does (-) mean where is the number
Kumichiro, 13 Sep 2014Z3C's Stereo Speaker got Very Good Rating from GSMArena, though. No, average rating. Which means "pretty poor". A little good speakers will get the rating "above average" in reviews here, and still the ratings above that is Good and Excellent.
101 hours with 14 hours of web browsing???!!!!Damn!!that's my next phone for sure...
I would like to work with Sony designers team because I like sleaping. All models looks the same... zzzzzzzzzz
this is what they call battery capacity... My next phone for sure...
advice, 07 Sep 2014they moved the led flash a way from the camera lens so i think sony fixed the flash bleed issu... moreYes I agree about the Stereo Speakers but why the very low volume and one reviewer said they were a little louder than Z1 but not much higher quality sound- strange.
There is an Equalizer App which can be used to boost if speakers can take it.
And is this Camera about on par with Galaxy 8 megapixel cameras or more like S4 ?
I think for better Sony Xperia Z3 compact meed contain this 2 specs:
1.LTPS screen - not IPS or TFT
2.MediaTek MT6595 not Snapdragon 801 or Snapdragon 805
Anomynous, 12 Sep 2014For sure NO, Sony use low volume, not suitable for users in the Indian subcontinent. It isn't bad, it was stated as average by GSM Arena.
