Qualcomm Mobile hardware Rumors

According to the notorious tipster on Weibo Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm's upcoming flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, will likely impress with exceptional graphics performance.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 to have impressive GPU performance

The post is quite vague, but gives an example with the GPU-intensive Genshin Impact game. The report claims the new Adreno GPU will run the title fluently in native 1080p resolution. The game is quite taxing even for modern high-end chipsets and to run smoothly, users need to lower the resolution.

Additionally, the development of the SoC is going ahead of schedule, so Qualcomm is targeting a release date right after the Chinese National Day, which is on October 1.

This is in line with previous rumors suggesting that the Xiaomi 15 will be launched in mid-October running the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, followed by iQOO and OnePlus' flagships.

Snapdragon 865 was good for its time but is showing it's age now. Snapdragon 8+gen1 has slightly better efficiency then the snapdragon 8 gen 2 improves on that. It would seem good optimisation is needed for snapdragon 8 gen3. Early devices showe...
