Root the phone with Belkin router.then burn the rom,not your room. flash it with a torchlight. Miui is in Chinese and because telugu guys don't know Chinese, go with Hong Kong rom. It's in English. I have purchased this phone 15 days ago from flipcart. This is not a good phone. I am facing lots of issues. Now my phone is hanging out. Whenever anyone calls me then caller gets ring but my phone is not ringing. Heating is also a problem. It automatically goes in hanging mode after 20-30 second.

I recently purchased Redmi 2 prime and the phone is not good.. i face below issues with phone.
1) When the battery is below 13% mobile gets heated.
2) When you play games for 5 mins mobile gets heated.
3) Battery gets drained fast.
4) Mobile gets heated when idle with 10% of battery.

Geekyranjit , 30 Aug 2015That set is a fake one from China, get a replacement immediately and tell me change apn name if internet not working.. in built apps and gaaps not working in data connection but all working on wifi... so please change apn name and setting so u get u r answer.

those who book redmi 2 prime on amazon BEWARE they are distributing redmi 2 instead on redmi 2 prime.so when u recieve packet pls check that the specifications is of redmi prime(ie ram 2gb and internal memory 16 gb) lot of people are getting cheated.if u need proof check 1 star reviews of redmi 2 prime grey in amazon.

They lies, it doesnt have 4G DUAL SIM, DUAL STAND BY. Only the SLOT 1 supports 4G. I bought it few days ago, Warranty Card and User Manual was missing. Worstest Service Center and Customer Helpine. WORSTEST SERVICE!

my redmi 2 prime does not changes LED notification colour while software supports it and my mi3 LED notification have different types of colour for different notifications. anybuddy else facing the issue.

It is the best phone, best camera, beat price, best built, best battery life, best after sales back up service in India. To flash the miui you need a MI account which you can purchase from flippant.and also ups, luminous ups and also a WiFi router such as Belkin.

Hi everyone, i got redmi 2 prime yesterday frm Snapdeal. The mobile is working well, but my sandisk 8gb micro sd card is not getting detected by the phone. The card is working fine with my nokia c5 ph. Also the my trancend 4gb and hp 16gb usb pen drive are not getting detected via otg cable. But i have inserted 1gb trancend and sandisk microsd cards and both card have been detected. My miui version is 6.5.3.0. Please anyone tell me whats the prblm. Should i ask for a replacement frm snapdeal or change any settings. Please help me out.

demi , 29 Aug 2015Would Redmi 2 prime be an upgrade from smsung grand2 .. i own a samsung grand2 and wanna upgra... moreyes it will be a good upgrade, specs wise. however you must note that Xiaomi is slow to upgrade to newer android versions, but have a good track record in pushing device updates.
my suggestion is, if you want the latest android versions, flash a CM rom.
this device definitely will outclass your current phone and be very kind to your pocket.
