Thanks to GSM Arena, and the information postings on Bold 9900 It seems the battery life is the main consideration of the 9900. I am upgrading next week to the 9900. I have decided that I will accept the battery limitations, as they are. I use some battery tweaks already, on my 9700(fab phone) - wi-fi use, but switch to 3g when out and about - clear log file - use lock when not using mobile phone - reduce background brightness - alter twitter and face book notification frequency - alter from 3g to 2g as required. I think all of these things can help to an extent but bottom line is to be able to charge it whenever. Which I am fortunate to be able to do. I will use BBM texts, email, surfing a lot during the day and evening; so I guess, if I really want this 9900 I have to face the apparantly limited battery . I guess a case of `suck it and see.`
which one do you choose? this dakota, torch 2 or xperia arc S guys?tell me your opinion..thanks
if you connected on the wireless will the phone want me to set up the proxy the other things ?
Tush, 12 Jan 2012Bought ma bold 9900 in white color. Amazing Luks. Jus love it. No battery prob wid avg use. To Tush. probably the most logical comment on the 9900 battery. I am due to update soon to a 9900 and have seen some bad battery reviews. But,as you say, I would think for average usage, (probably excluding several vids downloading, )that the battery would be passable, maybe just, but enough to get six hours of normal usage out of it. least I hope so.
Hello. Im currently using a Bold 9780 and planning to upgrade to a BB device with OS 7 with the 1.2 GHz processor. I dont know whether to get the 9810 or the 9900. Much opinion would be helpful. Thank you from Malaysia.

Battery life is pants, agreed, but here's hoping BBOS 7.1 resolves some of the issues...would love to just change the the OS to BB-X/BB-10 or whatever the name will be...then have some real apps to deal with

john, 07 Jan 2012rim sacrificed the batt for the design. slimmer design..what the?! it's the performance that m... moreI don't have that problem with my BT. I use it heavily but the battery lasts all day. One thing I do is turn off WIFI when not in use. Another is to look at the app switcher from time to time and turn off apps I am not using. There is a 1500 mAh battery available from ebay you might try. For $15, you can't go wrong.
Bri, 08 Jan 2012Best blackberry Evaaaaaaa!!!!!!! its a must have:))Not only is the Bold Touch the best BB ever, it is better than most of the other smart phones on the market. If you prefer a physical keyboard, it is hands down the best on the market. Reviewers who complain about the screen size aren't people who willingly make the trade-off between screen size and a magnificent physical keyboard. My Bold is first and foremost, a communications device. I have to admit, video looks much better on my 73" HDTV than on my phone.
