It's no news any more that we've been playing with one of the hotties of the season for some time now. Sony Ericsson W980 made a glorious entrance but we're yet to see about the exit. The touch-sensitive keys and the latest Sony Ericsson feature phone interface add to the excitement. Still not interested? Then try to think of another music phone with a built-in FM transmitter!

in indonesia?? i think it will be about Rp 4.000.000 or $450 (my guess)
by the way, i'm surprised that the sound quality can match the apple ipod.

how about the price?
in my country (indonesia),
u can get Z770 for $250.
i think $350-$400 is OK for this phone.

why ddnt the review say anything abt the external display's interface in standby or when receiving calls or anything ?!
also i wanna know if the clamshell is spring loaded or not?

the greatest walkman ever they said the audio quality is almost as the iPod means no music phone can beat it great phone but i wonder about the writnig speed the said it's about 2.5 Mb/s but my W960i can do upto 9 Mb/s its about four times more im sure they're the same after all a great music phone with great features but the cam need some improvment and WiFi it will be perfect great design great stereo speakers great screen every thing seems perfect.

I had been desparately waiting for this review on the SE w980!i am so impressed with GSM arena team.u guys are doing a great job of bringing out quick and detailed reviews.almost every feature of the phone has been covered here.if anything should be considered b4 buying a phone, these detailed reviews on gsmarena are THE ULTIMATE guides...

Sony Ericsson W980 Walkman first i was very disappoint it doesn't got GPS but then i read da reviewz i think FM transmitter is very good so i think Sony Ericsson W980 Walkman is very good phone. Maybe i buy ;-)

wow very fast review ...
nice fhone i was expect from 2 stereo speakers (from se home) for a little more ...
camera should not be more than this one,
that a music fhone ! and that enough to take a normal pics
also more quality camera and flash meens less battery life and more weight .
keep bring as review ... ;]

The only reason why they included this camera interface is that its not very comfortable to hold a clamshell phone (or slider for that matter) horizontally to take a picture. If you've used a W910i, you'll know what I mean. However I still would much prefer the horizontal interface as its so much better than the portrait one that the W980 has, that its worth being a bit less comfortable to hold! (This is the same with the W760 too) :)
