I had the same problem with flex cable (Fibre) but i solved it like this. Get a ceal tape (the one u use to tape your boxes. Stick it on the fibre both sides(one facing the other). Cut the sides of the fibre with a razorblade. Do not cut close to the fibre. Leave aa small thin layer on all sides. Remember not to tape the connection terminals. Fix it and you are done.

Anyone has experience like this? Previously i was using Maxis, and the phone was working fine. But i switched to Digi recently, even though it can be detected, but it seems like i cant call out or receive any calls. I read from online that the phone was locked from certain network. How to solve this? Please help!

This hanphone the sliding not very good easy to damaged and also many softwares not supported by this handphone no good !

SAMSUNG U700 - Worst phone i ever came across. Although features and looks are world class but one cannot rely on this phone. Problems like, hang ups, software bugs, slider cable, veryvery short battery life are common. NO SERVICE CENTRE od samsung in INDIA repairs it. Total mental harrassment and burning your money. Would like to talk samsung people on this and would be glad if they can repair it FREE of cost.

The worst phone I ever had !!! Apart from the peeling of the cover, known problem but not timely solved (silver color cover replaced 3 times during warranty), 14 (at least) software bugs (reported but simply ignored by Samsung... not even a 'thanks for telling us' email answer ), ridiculous sound quality, poor battery perfromance, I DO HAVE to complain about Samsung repair service. The phone is now out of warranty. Yesterday the speaker died. I open it up and found that Samsung repair people had glued the speaker, the camera, the vibration motor, and the flash LED all together !!! This must have been done during one of the several repairs in warranty. I would have now to replace all assemblies, instead of the sole speaker !!! Or better, I will simply throw the phone away. Never another Samsung product of any kind, for me.

I have this cell phone since 2009 this one is good the /features/sounds/graphics. It has a persistent,disturbant problem with the flex - sliding screen. My phone has been repaired two times.

I had this phone for about 4 months, and although it has some cool features, and looks nice, it had quite A LOT of problems.
1. It's battery life is really short, stays for only a couple of hours or so, and battery replacing didn't work.
2. It's screen kept going black, and had severe color and contrast issues.
3. The buttons didn't respond when the slide was at full, even changing the keypad didn't work.
4. Sometimes, the phone would hang while playing music.
There were more problems, but I'll keep it short. There are much better phones worth the same amount of money, so think wisely before buying this phone.

good handset that supports all major applications but its touch screen feature is pathetic. screen resolution and sound quality is awsome.

I have this Samsung U700 cell phone since 2007. It has had a persistent problem with the flex - defective connection with the base and sliding screen. My phone has been repaired three times. Now is the time for the fourth repair.
I would never buy this phone again and certainly do not recommend this to anyone. It looks good, feels quite simple to use, but it has serious reliability problems.
My earlier Nokia cell phones have been completely reliable. This is the reason I have recently bought a third Nokia cell phone.
