and..... The super T290 has ONLy 0,74 W/kg
its just 360% more than sony ericsson Z600.

300/12 are the company numbers. No phone on this planet lasts for 12 days!!!!

The SAR is one of the few who pass the TCO test! And the batteries last long (300/12h)

its a good phone but its a bit slow, and the screen resolution is not all that great. i have a probs, how can i use the t290 as a modem to connect the net on my pc. if any 1 has an answer pls hel me out

Samsung has the best construction quality but the worst reception and voice clarity.

Very good reception and perfect voice clarity.
DOes the k750i any of that? or maybe does reset itself? I know I know i can upgrade the firmware online etc... Look im not a beta tester. I f i pay for a phone then i want it to be perfect. It doesn matter if its nokia or ericsson or....
Every model has its own advantages and negatives but T290i is a very bad phone
1. battery lasts for 1,5 maximum
2. average signal reception and voice
3. poor features
4. it would be better with a b/w screen? is that a colour screen? !!!
5. VERY plastic construction. its worse than nokia [ as i said nokia is the worst in matter of quality ]
6. VERY high SAR. Im sure you know what ti means

Has ericsson T290i a lot a features?
really? I cant see them? could you please show these to me?
I f i know what bluetooth is? Hahaha im a network engineer buddy. Do you want to teach me? Advice: dont ask that kind of question if you dont know to whom you are talking to.
camera ? does t290i have a camera? strane. i could not see it! i must check it better isnt?
Look i dont want to talk with phone hooligans. Im not in love with any company.
For me its obvious that nokia has the worst contstruction quality and lately the worst design in their phones and in my opinion they will lose their market share very soon.
Sony has very bad [ for me ] user interface. K750i is a good camera but not a good phone.

I started buying mobile phones probably before you were born. I had almost any brand [motorola, nokia, panasonic, ericsson and then sony ericsson, alcatel, siemens etc.. ].
I am not talking for lg , sagem and others because i never had them.
So to you questions.
what is a unit converter? you can convert with it currencies, weight, etc. etc. im sure you know it.
is it a necessary function? NO
can you find it in almost every sheap phone today? YEs
Do I [ not you but I !. I am talking for me and im writing MY opinion got it? ]
find it usefull? YES
About the calendar. Do i need it. YEs 100%
Does every cheap phone have a calendar today? YES
Does sony T290i. NO

btw, what is unit converter? i dun even know.. is it important? Hmm... so lack of unit converter means too bad for it? NONE of nokia phones or other company has morse on the mobile though. Maybe next year you will see nokia phones with morse (probably) haha.
remember? its sony is the one who introduce active camera lens with flash in s700, camera lens on K500, and camera with flash on K700. Nokia takes out this idea and make 6680.
Why you just mention the unit converter only? there are lots of feature that you do not even mention here from sony ericsson that is far superb than any mobile phone. You really do not know anything about mobile phone M. The only thing that you can talk about with mobile phone is only the calendar and unit converter.
Do you know what is bluetooth?
Do you know what is camera with flash with active lens cover?
Do you know what is autofocus? Do you know that it also features of the K750? and this function has been used in all digital camera and yet no other company produce camera phone with autofocus function.
Do you know what does CCD lens means? It is the lens that has been used in most of digital camera now.. do you know that SE S700 is running with CCD lens? and no other company used CCD lens even until now.. even the N90 with carl zeiss lens? do you know that they are using CMOS lens? Do you know what is that?
Do you know what is MP3? its included in almost all new sony ericsson phones.
If you do not know.. then get to know them.. and you can put your comment here. IF you do not want to know it... better shut up

are you jelaous or what? yea.. you are right.. you say that sony has the worst market share.. hey... they rank 5th though.. and so many phones have less market than SE. I think you are trying to deny the fact that SE gain more and more users. I see a lot of ppl switch from SE to nokia. And here in australia, i SELDOM seeing ppl around with nokia phones.. maybe just one or two. LG are popular here, because they are cheap and ok feature and some motorola as well as sony ericsson. NOKIA? better luck next time... BTW... if you are in Australia you will see more of the sony ericsson's advertisement everywhere, almost in every corner. Sometimes i see nokia 8800. Where are the others?

My congratulations to sony for the perfect calendar!. but thats not unusual for sony. in k750i they "forgot" also to attach a unit converter but they didnt forget the morse light signal!!. For me Sony is the worst mobile phone company. Thats why they have the lowest market share. Users are not stupid

Its a good phone at 3600 rs. Nice entry level phone.
* Which is the data cable to use for data transfer between PC and mobile ?
* How to go beyond circuit 3 in game V Rally 2 ? I came first in first 3 races but can't unlock more than one car or can't go through 4th circuit either.
Anyone plz help.

hey it is mentioned here that the standby time of the battery is 300hrs and talk time is 12 hours. I must tell its only 48 hrs stanby time and talk time is about 3hrs. i cant understand why these wrong information published in a web site like this

Hi,I have purchased recently SE-T290i the problem iam facing is 1. The phone software which is not a good one the phone hangs somany times reintallation of the software hasn't helped me out any one knows any alternative method to avoide hanging if so plzz do let me know the thing.....
2. Iam interested in using net in my phone so as I have read most of the comments which says that its quite difficult to use net in this phone via data cable if any one who had used net in T290i via data cable can tell me how it is to use net ??? okay plzz do mail me @ luckyhaq11@yahoo.co.in

Last week I purchased SE T290i in bangalore for Rs:3450/-. It is a good phone with good set of features. The Data cable cost u around Rs.850/- and FM will cost u around Rs,1450/-.
But the problem I am facing is its battery backup is very low(Maximum one and a half day). (I am not using the phone for long conversation or I wont play games).
Is any body knows how to get the maximum battery life.
Please help me.

My cousin bought this phone 2 weeks ago, and I have been toying with it for about 15 minutes, I tell u the following:
Good Points:
------------
1. Small size
2. Nice design & colors
3. Low price
4. Loud tones
5. Nice game shakes
Bad Points:
-----------
1. Very slow software; the slowest I've ever seen in many mobile phones.
2. Bad quality screen, specially when playing games, it seems cloudy.
3. Often hangs when u lose in a game.
4. Recording feature is of the poorest quality.
I didn't test the phone during a call nor did I test other features, but in general I'd recommend u to spend few more pounds and get Nokia 3100 instead.
