Microsoft has started sending out press invites for an event taking place on October 26 in New York City. For a long time the company's been rumored to make some new hardware announcements at some point this month, so now we have the actual date to speak of.
While you shouldn't expect to see a new Windows phone unveiled, or another Band wearable, Microsoft is going to use this event to present some new Surface-branded hardware. So far, rumors have focused mainly on a possible Surface all-in-one, but a new Surface Book was also mentioned as coming. To top things off, Microsoft may start selling standalone Surface-branded peripherals - such a mouse and keyboard have been certified by the FCC not long ago.
Xbox-related news may be in for that day too, along with some details about the next two big Windows 10 updates, which should both arrive next year.
