Anonymous, 02 May 2016more like IPX5. its not dust proof or dust resistant. only water resistantIt's ip53 which means dust proof and shower proof
Brian sohai, 02 May 2016I have already cancelled my S7 pre-order immediately after my fren complained to me how lag hi... moresamsung s7 is lagfree i m ussing it....u think ur friend use jackass phone like htc use
Anonymous, 01 May 2016It is IP 65 unlike 68 of samsung. But will do the job i guess.more like IPX5.
its not dust proof or dust resistant.
only water resistant
Grey1213, 01 May 2016The HTC has better audio and metal body. That's it. Everything else is better on the s7, displ... moreMostly everything you said was your opinion on what you consider better. Lets analyze!
Thinner bezels: less grip
Thinner body: less grip/ easier to break
Screen: barely an advantage and some prefer LCD
Camera: The s7 has a small advantage in rear facing and is worse in front facing so I'd say equal
Samsung pay: definitely an advantage
Waterproof: an advantage
So... two true value added features/advantages over 10.
The 10 has much better sound over headphones and externally, a sturdier body, and mostly issue/jank/hiccup free software unlike TW. I'd say it depends on personal opinion on what you like best. The s7 is not better objectively with everything weighted equally.
Lord Petyr Techwiz, 01 May 2016".....very comparable to AMOLED" is where you lost me.I'm sorry I lost you. You should try to keep up though lol. I looked at it personally and there is an s7 edge in my household as well as my note 4 so... im pretyy sure you know nothing John Snow. Also, notice I said comparable.
I have already cancelled my S7 pre-order immediately after my fren complained to me how lag his S7 is after only one single month of usage.
I bought the HTC 10 instead and wow, just WOW.. It is smooth as silk. Everything seems so fast like lightning strike.
Now I wouldn't buy any Samsung phones in the future.
[deleted post]Oh I did not see the comment was yours - not unexpected that it was a waste of time replying.
mir, 01 May 2016Mediocre? Why not try to make your own smartphone, since you have quite a high standard. The components are all there in widely available commercial products, but somehow every manufacturer believe that potential buyers either got huge hands or are too poor/stingy to want to pay for flagship chips/components.
I'm quite sure that I'm not the only one that want (and am willing to shell out for) a device that can be operated securely by one hand by the majority of the worlds population that is equipped with FHD, LTE, a 64bit CPU and at least 3GB ram. Preferable with a top notch camera, but that is (for me) less important.
The last company I remember that released devices that back then was top notch were was Sony Ericsson, With the "Ray", "Neo" and "Arc" way back in 2011. They were close to identical (including display resolution) except for the size of the display(pixel)s.
That I personally would want it to somehow be extendible with a full QWERTY landscape, is a different story, that I assume would be for a small potential market. (SonyEricsson even had a special "Pro" variant of the Neo offering exactly that)
After the worse than mediocre camera on the M9 ,I wouldn't buy it until I was satisfied that this was an improvement.

i love the fone, but no, s7 edge seems more attractive
everyone has their own choice, samsung wins for me
Good try by HTC but i think it's a little too late. Might sell more than HTC M9 but probably not enough to turn a profit, given that S7 is selling well, LG G5 is doing rather well too i think, which high end flagships is HTC gonna steal the sales from?
Hard to say if I would buy it or not. I'm interested in it, would like to get it as I need to do an upgrade, but Bell right now in Canada has the exclusive for it right now, and I'm with a different provider. So right now my options are buy it outright from the website, or wait and hope it comes to my carrier. But if it doesn't come to my carrier, don't think I want that bad to buy it outright.
Paddyman, 01 May 2016They should have kept some features like IR blaster, fm radio and made it water proof, otherwi... morehi, water proof is necessary and htc 10 is anti rain but water proof is clearly better... but I disagree you, because htc10 is far better in speakers and headphone too. htc 10 has better body and as all of we know metal body is very better than glass.also htc 10 front camera is better and htc ui is far better and more smooth and has no lag or bug even after 2years usage.in htc sense and new version htc pushes innovation that cut unnecessary apps in same category and this innovation increase battery life.so now we know that htc 10 has many advantages over other phones and galaxy S7.(all flagships are great and all have many advantage over other but htc advantages are more useful and htc 10 stands up between other rivals - last year GS6 was better than other and ....).
