Position the phone face down and the screen will come in contact with tables.
Well done Apple.... spreading disease even better in the 21st century.
iWink ;) lol
that idea is just a waste...you'll have to always position the phone face down just to glorify the innovation of those dumb hardware engineers in that company
Brilliant idea. Everyone will know (except the owner) that there's a new message.

Badges notification for every application, Time / Date / Network / Status / telco. Everything is nice and clean.
Android duplicate everything all over. I especially like how the time is shown in the status bar.. but android users still add a clock for no reason LOL.. The notification bar is a total mess.. junk mails structure... Once you dismiss those notification, you have no idea which apps needs your attention.
Sammy and Sony realise this junk idea of Androids, they had to implement their own badges for normal messages / whatsapp.. its sad.
No way

Nothing better to do?? Just stay in your home... moreerm, we have OPTIONS, so you want to stare at a blank live wallpaper (lol only iloesers would do that) go ahead. But most people will have widgets and stuff going on in their homescreen (you know...personalise your home screen); for QUICK ACCESS to important information (eg, email widget, or day planner). Nothing important? ok just lock the screen (in fact you can have these widgets ON your lockscreen...saves battery too)
enjoy your light feature thingi

Nothing better to do?? Just stay in your home screen and stare at the live wallpaper?? ROFL.
Note to you: iOS users have better things to do: Use Application.
Not daydreaming like Android users.. waste of time.
Notification light (on Apple Logo or already used for flash Light) is a good notification function.
Android prescription is that it should light it or keep blinking when there is any unread Noti. But Apple's Noti light only blink a few times when u received a new Noti. It is not permanently blinking.
If you face up, notification is on the screen itself, so no problem.
If your phone face down, during meeting, it is good to have Noti light from the back.
