Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i dont know what u were thinking when u wrote ur comment but sadly
u missed a few many points altogether
first of all there is no multitouch option or feature as u said in nokia 5800
and there is no comparision between iphone and 5800 on the basis of this
and for the brightness u better check again.
the camera is one of the best in class 3.2 meg snapper with dual led flash(i thought you said it's flash wasn't enough)
as for the wi-fi it must be the problem of ur router or network because the same wi-fi module works good in other nokia phones very well.
the audio on 5800 is a treat along with its loud speaker and complements it well.
as for the price u should check around because i tink someone made a fool of u because in $580 one could get 2 pieces of 5800 instead of one.
and its operating system s60 is compatible with previous editions.means u can use old apps right away.
remenber..Nokia never announced this product with multitouch. But if you´re so desperate to specifically point the differences...well then, comparing to other manufacters, try to browse on the web while listening to music...or use msn messenger, while playing games with others at the same time... But then again, I think that, what counts is the experience you have with mobile devices, wether if it´s for fun or work, and that Nokia always garantees.
bla, bla, bla....angel stop saying what u don´t know...specially when it comes to prices over Nokia products. The best thing u can do now is to wait and see...or experience. Then give your opinion.
I like the phone but too big.
And video quite terrible, compared to N85 for example.
From the mobile review test:
5800 video sample:
N85 video sample:
No need to say more.
But of course it is not fair to compare 5800 and N85, because their prices are different.

at least people are comparing nokia vs nokia
clearly there is no competition then, nokia always wins!
you got to be kiddin, just beacuse it's a 5000 series does not mean it's a mid range phone, da a little search on the net, and just look at it
Please stop guessing what the price will be.. Nokia has already made an official presentation to the media, where it was clear that Nokia 5800 final price, in Nokia shops will be 279eur. Without any operator contract. Please stop guessing wrong prices.
i believe Nokia tube 5800 price as per the market should be no more than $250 and less as IPHONE 3G worth only $199 and its great phone compare to this noika, this mobile doesnt worth more than that AT ALL
kafh, 11 Oct 2008it must be around Rs.15k to 16kkath hope you werent drinking when you thought that,,,, its going to be a fare price, arounnd 5 or 6 hundered aussie outright,,,,
all the future handphone that i saw must be including office application & cust like it!..., same as E71.
this the perfect one but so sory it don't have office applic.
i think 5800 music can break all previus record of highest qnty sold of.perticular handsets.but price should be jenuine
first multimedia touchscreen computer from nokia a must have!!! now!!!
First of its kind with Nokia. A really must have when it comes out. It doesn't matter for me if it only has 3.2MP camera and experiencing a new OS plus a touchscreen without the keypad is quite cool for a Nokia phone.
