Why no one is talking about battery backup ? Is it not a important factor ?
I wanted to know how will be the battery backup with around 10-15 GSM calls (of 1min each) and little browsing.

We know it goes loud, even gmsarena say that! We now have people saying that the N8 loudspeaker is louder than the C7 speaker, & the C7 speaker has a lower dB volume.

Howeever I can't say because I spoke to an Nokia customer services agent, he said that the phones being newer *obviously* will probably sound better than my 5800 from the C7 because the technology has moved on & the 5800 is an old phone.

The guys telling me my phone is *old* "What an insult" on my phone man. Nevermind. Someone will eventually tell us just how good the speakers are on the C7 in comparison to the 5800. Like me some people are looking to upgrade from 5800.

It appears that I may have helped confuse people myself trying to find the correct answers.

The definitive FACT thus far is that 1 of the grill must be a Monoural Speaker, the other is said to be a ringer (I think)?.

I'm sure Manjoj knows exactly. He could probably re iterate the FACTS to us again, if he would so nicely.

I have been reading gsmarena posts, since its begining.Long time ago, I had the idea of having a site of which purpose is pretty much served, here, today. However, i have always been passionate about cellphones.Do not ask me why or how, but as many people out there have different hobbies, I chose mine. What I do is to spend an importatn cut of my income, on cellphones. I simply buy them and keep them.Is not and it never was about pursuiting the best terminal, as there is not such thing, but is about own them.
Here is my opinion, a user, they way i see it suiting my day by day experience. Is really up to you, to interpret it, and decide if it si what you are looking for, or not...
C 7 has been very much compared to Samsung Wave. Well, is not the same thing, thou it might look. I have them both, but before telling you which one is missing what, I will like to clarify couple of things, once for all:
-there is no stereo speakers; two one on the back, left as you look at the phone face down, is the speaker, the other one, the left one, is the ringing speaker
-camera, does not look like a 8 Mpix camera.Guaranteed, Wave's camera is far better
-is a beautiful device, no question asked and it feels quite sturdy in the hand...but for only the first couple of day, after, if you will squeeze the phone, you will hear the noise made by the parts, not so well, sticked togheter
-it feels very heavy, thou it has the same weight to the Iphone 4
                -fingerprint magnet
-recommend, if you will decide to buy it, the bron version. Is the best looking.
                -no Nokia Clear Black Display
-to the maximum light intensity, still not as crisp tot the 2nd out of 10, Wave's screen luminosity
                -the light sensor is slugish
-It is obvious that Nokia tried its best to come in par to what ohter companies did, in terms of integration with the Social Network but:
If with Wave you will imput your name and passowrd and the phone will retrieve automatically all your contacts, Nokia uses a slugish interface, so you will have to "link" your contacts manually. In ohter words, you can't see form your "contact list", who are your friends on Facebook, unlike Wave which will integrate all your contacts with Facebook and let them see straight on oyur "contacts" menu, either you are online or not.
On the other hand, thou Wave has the option to see all the conversations you had with any of your friend divided by type( IM, Facebook,SMS,Mail, etc), straight from the Contacts( works really simple and great) there is one thing which do not work....you can;t actually see the IM messages as the IM application is not present...
C7 has one thing I always liked it: FM Trasnmitter
Display will show vertical gray stripes on the sunlight. Are really obvious. We know what it is, the Oled cells.Wve has them too....but are wider, only 3 and you will really have to look for them in the sunlight.Nokia's are there...and are anoying.
Yes, the phone is slightly faster than before, but still way slower than Wave. Sometimes, does not take the commends right away and you will have to tape couple of times. If you open 3, 4 applications in the same time...is getting even slower...
Wifi works very strange...if you do not "play withe the phone, it will disconnect.Nothing wrong, but the "saving mode" is deactivating...so it shouldn't.Why, because if had an application opened, like Fring for instance and you connect using a wifi access point for instance, the moment you will pick up the phone, and go back to Fring, the phone will not connect back uisng the same wifi access point, thou it finds it....it will chose your packet data over wifi. Why? I have no idea....
In the browser, you can one page, only. If you recieve an e-mail with a link and clik on the link, the phone will open the address and show it in the browser, like you have 2 opened pages: the one opened from the browser and the other one from the link you have been provided with. The truth is, you can not toggle between the windows...you can only go "back"...
Samsung Super Amoled screen is WAY better than Nokia's one. To be honest, Nexus one has a so much better screen than C 7 that it make you wonder: Is C7 really Amoled???
To rap up, is not a bad phone but definatelly does not worh 480 euros, how much I paid for it. I wouldn't mind getting it for a maximum of 300.
There is one thing it might turn, at leat people like me to use it in everyday life. The ability to properly multitask and the fact that supports Call Over IP.This is really Great! Is Wave could have had Voip capabilities, C7 woulnd't even stadn a chance. To be honest, Nokia has gone a long way, but there is much more to improve. We know is hard, just keep in mind that I Os, the first generation has been developed in 5 years with 33 engineers.....
I would sugeest to wait until the price drops, definatelly does not worth more than 300...

What's going on with my Order! I bought it on Sat from Airtime shop because shop said it was In Stock.

Today I find I am now waiting 14 days for the Mocha colour C7. This is clearly very annoying for customers who are being messed around.

It's not only false advertising. It makes people loose their trust in Nokia & cancel their orders & also get very annoyed.

Nokia can not act like everything is ok, neither can they make people wait. People do have lives, they have network plans which they have terminated in which they are WITHOUT their phones.

Nokia better get clearly get into the act with getting more devices made & available since they are making much more money than the technology is really worth to make & put together.

They should hurry up or I will withdraw my my order, my contract, this isn't only bad for them, it's bad for the networks who will be clearly annoyed at Nokia.

You do not wait to receive your food do you for two weeks before you can eat again. Likewise being without something for so long is detrimental to putting your trust, reliability.

YET protocols within the industry are very important or you'll get fired. What about the rubbish marketing, sales, preparation, stock availability of getting devices ready & to customers.

I see someone buying it in Bangalore for INR 21,000 or in Mumbai for INR 21,800. This is too high cost for this phone. One can send little bit more and can get N8. It is much better. In comparison to N8 it lacks:
                        12 mp camera,
                        gorilla glass,
                        anodized body,
                        16 gb memory
                        HDMI port.

The phone is good as its specification. But not worth that much amount.

Eh, i dont know anymore.. I first wanted the nokia e7, but the nokia c7 is just as great minus the screen size and QWERTY keyboard.. and I just red the nokia c7 review by phone arena, and the photo's they took wasnt good looking at all. And now the nokia e7 is not out yet in South Africa, so I guess I would have to take the nokia n8, but I actually dont like its looks.. meh, is there anyone that might make out sense of what I am saying?!? thanks
