Nokia is on path of dying. If you dont wake up now u are dead in few months. Go for Andriod and make phones like galaxy s series u will be hit.

A really nice phone from nokia. Though i believe a dual core onboard would have further increased its popularity. I fail to understand why does nokia chose windwos as its major os when they already had such a mature os in hand.
would be loving progress in meego and more handsets from nokia running on meego os.
nokia would be able to establish a greater market if they had selected meego as their primary os.

AnonD-542, 03 Jul 2011You talk as if you can run nokia better than Elop. What he is doing is the best thing to do. A... more1st Elop is a M$ trojan, the best
                      from M$,he's try 2 save WP7 by
using Nokia. If he wanted 2 save
Nokia he would push 4 Meego
OS as the smart phone strategy
                      or better still use Maemo
                      6(compatible with Meego) if he
                      saw that Meego wasn't ready.But
it's sad that he saw an
                      opportunity 4 M$,anyway WP7
will never be as good as
                      Meego.Now he want 2 trick
                      customers into buying that WP7
sea ray thing that looks like
                      N9.Already feel sorry 4 those
customer who buy the WP7 thing
                      and discover later it's a
                      nightmare.
                      Meego rocks!

This is what Nokia should have concentrated on ..... great O.S .it wouldnt be a good idea to discontinue Meego . Rather they should atleast keep it as the 2nd O.S

I would have liked to have a device that feels like the N97 in my hand running the software on the Desire Z. A magical device like that would make be a happy customer. It's one thing to be a fan of various products and quite another to identify that a company is about to run aground and then change the course of that company to keep it afloat and flourish into the future. I'll give Elop the benefit of the doubt as he is much more qualified than I in running a huge company like Nokia.

What he is doing is the best thing to do. Although android would have been better for nokia, i being a nokia fan still won't buy a nokia android just because Samsung and Htc are doing a far better job (with added experience). Windows phone 7 is a better OS compared to android. The only thing driving android is their apps.
And the article was very informative. I guess you didn't even try to go through it. Nokia was forced not to take android by google itself, in the sense that they didn't allow nokia the same previeledge as they do to samsung or htc. Nokia can now at least stand out amidst the crowd.
In my opinion, the best OS is android. Then comes Windows phone 7. Apple isn't an option because they lack variation in their products.
