Last week we got info that OnePlus is gearing up to launch its 8T smartphone on October 14 though it was just a rumor. Now, Amazon India confirmed the same launch date alongside details of the phone’s RAM configuration.
OnePlus is currently holding an OnePlus 8T quiz on its Amazon India landing page and a quick dive into the terms and conditions subpage reveals October 14 as the last date to participate in the event and the likely launch date of the phone. In addition, we also get clarification on the entry-level variant of the device which will come with 8GB RAM.
The OnePlus 8T is expected to arrive with no Pro counterpart. The device will bring a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with the same punch-hole cutout as the OnePlus 8 though this time with a 32MP selfie cam and a 120Hz refresh rate. We’re expecting the Snapdragon 865 under the hood paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.
The camera setup will now be housed in a rectangular cutout on with a 48MP main shooter and 16MP ultrawide snapper paired with a 5MP macro lens and 2MP depth helper. The phone will get a 4,500 mAh battery which is speculated to support 65W Warp Charging this time around.
The OnePlus 8T will launch alongside the OnePlus Buds Z TWS earphones and the whole event will be held exclusively online and will feature some AR tricks similar to the OnePlus Nord launch.
Please remove useless 5mp micro and 2pm depth sensor and add 3x Telephone lenses
They should increase new device release period between devices, and start exploring other revenue strings beside just make phones...
