Kryptik, 22 Sep 2017I also tried to install the firmware update from Sammobile and i received the same error.. To ... moreIm gonna check it , but does indian version of nougat works for my european phone ? my model number is also SM-J710FN
SOLUTION TO BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM:
If you have nougat:
-Charge with the right charger and/or a good charger
-Close all battery drain apps from Device Maintrance
If none of this works wait for a 33MB+ Small software update and get it,it's a bugfix to all the nougat issues. Then after updating do the same.If none of this works do a factory reset after the update, and boom that should fix it :-)
Borgia, 23 Sep 2017No!!!! Still waiting I'm from Sri Lanka too. still no update and no one know when we receive.
I'm planning to flash INS firmware.
AnonD-531498, 22 Sep 2017First swich off your phone.
Then press volume up key+home key......+Power key
Continue press... moreDear friend If I go directly to factory reset by system setting (inbuit factory reset) then the process would be same or differet..because already I have done it twice factory reset by system reset.
got the Nougat update (I'm from the Philippines) and no battery draining when idle on mine. running on 38 hours now since the last full charge and I still have 70% remaining. I'm not a heavy user though. I mainly use my phone for texting, email, facebook and some snap shots and video recording here and there.
to those experiencing battery drain try using the power saving mode. go to settings > device maintenance > battery, and set the power saving to MID. or MAX if you'd like to try the simplified UI, I do think that setting will significantly improve the battery.
AnonD-698255, 23 Sep 2017Anyone From Sri lanka received J710FN Nougat update ??No!!!! Still waiting
AnonD-393806, 22 Sep 2017Factory reset the phone by press and hold volume, power and home key. Clear all cache partion ... moreGood technical info....But the truth is j7 2016 comes with Li-ion battery not Li-polimer.....
AnonD-587749, 22 Sep 2017I updated that but still the same problem is there...Factory reset the phone by press and hold volume, power and home key. Clear all cache partion and reboot. Hope this will solve your issue. I am writting this still my battery 71% and alsmost 2% consumed in a normal use and 4% consumed in heavy use per hour. Technically bettery power reduction may faster in 100 to 90% and slower in 80 to 40% and then again higher in 40 to 15%. This is normal behavior of a li-polimor battery. The question is how OS is stable and handle it. Its tottaly depends on the device Karnel file which hold the codes
