If you go for appropriate methods to update then you will not face any problem after 4.3 update.
What i did, I will tell you, Rest depends on what you opt for.
I did factory reset before upgrade to 4.3
Once factory reset, I upgrade to 4.3
After upgrade to 4.3, I again did a factory reset and everything is perfect for me.
No problems and 2 days battery backup!

I bought this phone 2 months ago and I gotta say it's the first phone I am completely satisfied with. I honestly could not imagine a better phone, it's so comfortable, easy to use, fast, looks great and performs amazingly. I've had an lg l7 and a samsung galaxy s (first one) before and I gotta say, I was not as close as satisfied with those phones that I am with this one. This phone is purely excellence

After 4.3 upgrade :
> Check for updates using phone once (whether that 14 MB update is available or not).
To get the 2nd update after doing the above 14 MB update, follow the steps below :
> In your PC, install Samsung USB driver for mobile phones (it is available in the website http://developer.samsung.com/android/tools-sdks/Samsung-Andorid-USB-Driver-for-Windows )
> Install KIES 3.xx in your PC.
> Then connect your phone and check for updates using KIES (in order to update, your mobile's battery must be at least 55%) and see.

Abubakr, 21 Jan 2014Bro Defntly go for 4.3 i was using 4.1.2 and now upgraded to 4.3 and nw it gives me great batt... moreis everything fine after 4.3 update,plz tel me clearly,some are saying dr are many issues after 4.3,especially battery nd wifi connectivity..
