This mobile doesn't have 4g technology.....and 64bit .... Then how can u say it is next generation mobile....
Doc, browse the web for a fix it guide. It sounds like a cable may have come loose. It could be something that you can simply fix yourself and save yourself a bit of money.
I am sorry for your lost. May I share what the guy from the sony store here in the Philippines told me. When buying a phone it is a golden rule not to buy first batch of phone which means you should wait for 3 months and above. Because first batch is always problematic, this is true even in any other phones. He also mentioned not to buy on online because most of that units are defective which must be pulled out by the company but sellers online sell it at prices without warranty. I also tried buying online at first but apparently it has small crack in the back that cannot be easily seen luckily I run my finger at yhe back and felt the small crack. Hope this helped you on your next purchase.
my xperia z3 compact have an issue
that when I'm busy with a call and receive another one , the phone automatically answers the other one after a few seconds
anyone can tell me how to cancel this feature
Dropped from 1 meter,,,half of front screen went blank....need to change the screen at any local repair shop or pay 60% of the selling price and get new at service centre....:(
Update from my last post. A miracle happened just 5 mins ago while charging my phone. While charging my phone I put my phone in the table then my feet caught the wire of the cable of the charger then my phone landed at the back about more than 3feet(waist level) and then bounced a little. Of course I am horrofied because it had no screen protector on it. To my disbelief the phone has no scratch or crack! 100 percent smooth! When it droped it sounded like I droped a plastic phone not a glass. I am very happy because it is very robust. I think I have the batch that has gorilla glass 3 or dragontrail back on it. I am also happy that the camera is not potruding or it would be a disaster.. Naked z3c forever :)
Great phone.. have been using for 4 months and no issue! great battery. A small phone with great power.
This best phone im using from 4 months no problem as orhers commented
If u guys use roughly then every phone will crack or busted
If sw prob tht is bad luck
But i recommended sony z3c
For long lasting battery n no lagging with software

I see a lot of people raving about the battery life. The first day i have this phone I see that my estimated battery life is only 8 hours.
I've turned off background data and have it set to energy saving mode and everything else I can think of to get this good battery life.
What am I missing?
Munjela, 04 Jun 2015I'm considering a new phone, and the most important things are: - that it's below 135 mm tall... moreI would defenitely go for the Z3 compact. I have one and I'm more than happy. Alpha is also a very good phone but what I most wanted was battery life and, in that department, there's no competition. The Z3c crushes the Alpha. Speaking of which, the Z3c is probably most likely to get "crushed" because it has glass on boh sides... Also, I would consider it the perfect phone if it had finger print detector (I think the Alpha has it). Anyways, wouldn't change those 24-26 hours of battery that I always get for that. Hope I could help you a bit. Cheers!
Drape, 31 May 2015Update from my previous post a few weeks ago. My device is still 100 percent smooth and scratc... moreEvery time you update your device it will surely affect the battery. It is better to have a spare battery or powerbank

Battery lasts longer than S6 Edge.Lasts longer than iPhone 6 Plus.Lasts long enough to read all the comments in the Z3 section.
And tell me how have i wasted money?
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2015Don't waste your money!!! The magnetic port to charge the phone will take off the phone after... moreI want to waste my money in this device. I think I would buy magnetic dock then, instead of mqgnetic cable. Some users experiences this because of wrong position of charging and using cheap magnetic cables while some repost that they experienced this issue even they do not have z3c just like the cracking issue I noticed that all the picture that has crack z3c is the same phone pictured in different angles and posted by different users. It is good that I am vigilant and did not believe in those trolls. I am enjoying my 6 month old z3c with none of these issues.
Don't waste your money!!!
The magnetic port to charge the phone will take off the phone after few times of use and sony will not refund your money.
Worst spend money ever
I had been using my Z3c (d5803) for almost a year. Overall its a great phone, no scratches or cracks for me (I use ringke cover, and no issue with signal or touch screen like others had mentioned. The battery life is superb and the audio sound is perfect (not too loud or too small). I love this phone and I hope that sony will make the z5 compact with 4.8" screen, good battery life, great camera, and offer in emerald green color.
Somebody sony hates, 04 Jun 2015I just owned my 2nd sony xperia z3 compact after having a major issue about sudden death on th... moreIt is a good story.. Very well made except for the fact that samsung fanboys always include "going back to samsung" in the end. Well there is no one experiencing the same issue. If you are using your phone while swimming or bathing it is normal for it to occur because water droplets will touch the screen but on normal use there is no reason for that problem to occur. Go back to samsung. By the way sony is updating their z, z1, z2,z3, and even the old midrager and lowend devices to android 5.1 I wonder what happened to galaxy s3, s4, and s5
I just owned my 2nd sony xperia z3 compact after having a major issue about sudden death on the other one. After 2 weeks of usage the screen suddenly got some kinda buggy, I CANT TOUCH THE MID SCREEN!! I found this problem when I was typing a message. I was confused why my phone didnt want to type what i wanted to type! After activating the developer options I switch on the 'show touches' option then BUMMM!! It turned out that when i touch the mid screen and swiped vertically, there are 2 pointers being clicked at the same time. So when i wanna type 'c' it always type both 'x' and 'v'. How frustrating! I didnt know what happened cuz a few minutes before the error ocurred the phone was totally fine. I really regret purchasing this stupid device, it's only been 2 weeks. Even my z ultra lasted longer. Damn it! I'm switching back to Samsung.
I have had this phone 7 months but had to replace it after dropping it(from a very low height)cracked and didnt work at all.So disappointed i had to get a smash roof screen protector(which should be sold with the phone imo) because this really is a great phone, although sometimes a bit annoying and not user friendly it has great camera and video quality, overall class and stylish 9/10.
I'm considering a new phone, and the most important things are:
- that it's below 135 mm tall
- that it would stand the test of time for the next 2 years (considering specs and updates)
Choices that come to mind are:
1) Z3 Compact
2) Galaxy Alpha
Which one would you suggest and why?
