Money well spent. Performance above average, in fact very fast if I do say so myself.
Some times Contacts gets merged in my Xiami Redmi Note 4.
Any solution to that problem
Please help me out.
This phone was good at the time of purchase. But after a few months it started to shuffle my numbers automatically. It was unbelievable that it changes name of contact to another name in part or full. And display in another name. It gone crazy day after day. ...so please don't buy...it will make us totally mad.

I don't know why but I can't transfer my photos form my phone to the computer using data cable. Can anyone help me with this?
I've been using my note4 for a month or so and very satisfied with it. I own a black, global 4/64 version. I had to buy it, cos I dropped my nexus 5 and broke the display (screen protector applied. They just all break regardless of gorilla glass or not). Opened the bootloader and rooted it, but not yet installed custom rom, cos I have no problems with the original rom, just wanted to get rid of bloatware. The performance of this unit is fine, more than enough for most of the people, the battery life is amazing, the camera is o.k. (this one has the samsung module in it) for posting pics on facebook, otherwise there are many ways to tune up fotos. I like the simple design, but I don't like the alloy back panel, because it slips out from hands easily, had to buy silicone case on ebay. The ir port is a good idea, as a remote control, works flawless with my panasonic hdtv and my yamaha home movie receiver. The finger sensor is perfect, no probs so far.
Pros:
- Nice design. Never goes outta style
- Good performance
- Loads of memory
- Good display
- Very good battery life
- Ir port
- The price tag
Cons:
- Not water resistant
- Very slippery without plastic/silicone case
- Loads of unwanted bloatware. Users have to root it, to get rid of them
I highly recommend this smartphone for anyone who wants to have a decent handheld, but dont wanna spend a lot of money on it.
Hi, Xiaomi Redmi 4 users!
I'm really fascinated by Xiaomi phones (didn't knew this brand till this summer, 2017)
I think to change to Redmi 4 (or 4x - still try to find out the differences, or it's just marketing)
For now I'm a happy user of Huawei P8 lite (2G/16G, Kirin Octa 1,2G, 13 MP 4:3, 10MP 16:9, rear 5MP, 240-270ppi 1280x720, no OTG, no gyro, no fingerprint, no IR - specs so far I remember)
Camera is good, for a amateur like me, pics nice, video good 720@30, panorama is also good.
So I want to ask if upgrade to redmi 4 3/32, what would I benefit, and where I'll be disappointed?
I also ask for an advice for the upgrade device, if someone would change redmi 4 to something else in same price range.. I really would likr the gyro and fingerprint, IR not so much, but remembering the older devices, before Bluetooth, IR on a such smartmachine sounds like fun : ) ...
Thanks in advance for the advices!

I am the happy owner of a Xiaomi Mi Max 1. I've had it quite a few months now and I love it. So much so that I am looking to upgrade and have gone past Apple and Samsung as the specs on this Mi Max far surpass their opposition. The display on this phone is spectacular, on a par with my old Sony X Ultra. Yes, I have a penchant for larger phones. The battery life is okay considering the battery was supposedly one of the largest at the time of purchase. My only gripe is the non-expandable memory and the inability to put apps onto an expansion card. This is why I'm upgrading. I am heavy, heaaaavy user and the battery life is still pretty good considering. I had one time when I could not hear people on the other end of my phone. It was awful. So the sound side is ordinary, here's hoping that's rectified in newer models. Mine is basically to replace an Ipad and Iphone (why carry two if I can manage with just one big one). And it definitely did the job. It's sturdy, well built, strong and with tempered glass screen protectors, the screen hasn't smashed yet (and I've dropped it a few times). I definitely recommend these phones, but only to people that are computer literate enough to know how to fix their own software problems as Android is installed over the top of MUI, which is totally useless to me. Oh, finally, I could never connect my phone to my PC, it would not auto detect, this could be a fault of my PC though. So there's my humble, happy shopping.
