This phone is probably 1 of the best phone ever, the touch screen is really sensitive, Beforehand my friend is trying to persuade me not to buy it, But i bought it and i think i made the right decision, it even better than his 1, which is $200 more than mind. the disappoint thing about this phone is that, u cant install games or app, well, actually u can, but u need to go through lot of method which is time consuming, so i just gonna stay with that boring puzzle game. this is just my opinion 8/10 for the phone.

There are at least 3 ways to download application as far as I know. Copying from PC just will not do.
1. Via internet on phone: Go to free jar site such as getjar.com from your mobile. Search for your mobile. F480 might not be listed there, search applications for Samsung D900. Download as many as you like to your mobile. Almost all of them will run on your mobile.
2. Another way using internet on your mobile is shown in the link below:

I am using this phone for last 3 months. Main pros & cons according to me are as follows:
Pros:
Great Looks
3G, EDGE, HSDPA
Excellent sound quality (through head phones)
Easy touch dialing
Good touch UI
Document viewer
Good browser
220 MB phone memory
cons:
though 5MP with auto focus & all other feature is the biggest disappointment. My older Nokia 6280 with 2MP is better both for still & video.
No Wi-fi/ GPS
No qwerty key board
No auto rotation feature
No downloading of third party application supported through PC. Application can only be downloaded by using web on the phone. Once downloaded they are saved in phone memory & can not be moved.
I am thinking of changing my phone. If only somehow camera performance improves, I shall let do with other disadvantages. But how to improve it?

Ive had the Samsung f480 for about 8 weeks and other than constantly pressing english when text and have to reset the language all the time i have many complaints.But my main one is I cant seem to access the calender while on a call which is very frustating as i run a business that works via appointments .Can anyone shed any Light?i desperate to fix this problem.

the pc suite messaging feature does not work at all for me.
absolute rubbish phone and now i'm locked into a 24 month contract.
why dont mobile phone shops have a try before you buy service.

I am tossing up between the Samsung F480 and the LG KC910 (Renoir) Both appear to be great phones on paper but unfortunately both have had mixed reviews and mixed comments from users. Please give me an honest opinion or response as to which one i am better off to choose. All i really need in the phone is a good speakerphone, so all these other aspects are just bonuses for me but if i am spending the money on either of these i want it to be worth my while! Cheers

Got 2 of the 480's but still can change the sms tones Ring tones yes !
but even a nokia you can choose an mp3 song and make it as a ring tone or a msg tone.. Any Thoughts Guys????

I've just got the phone, i don't like the speaker, everyone is telling me that they are hearing some extra noise from the back groud , i don't know how to adjust the Mic.

guys plz sumone tell me r u guys r also facing sum problem regarded to its bluetooth
my bluetooth speed never exceeds more then 40 kbps
whether my roommate having sum sonyericsson cell his normal bluetooth speed is around 130-200 kbps

battery life its quite surprising man
u can play atleast 14 hrs continuous music play back on this one
n m not telling u frm reading the fact frm sumwhere else its my own xperience,n even m surprised to see it
bcoz when i was going to buy it ,i read a number of reviews where ppl were cursing it for its battery life but m totally amazed to see it dat it has a very good battery life
n yes i read a number of comments where ppl were saying dat its camera quality is not comparable wid nokia, but i would like to tell u guys i think u daon know the real meaning of quality i mean seriously nokia is nowhere stands atleast if u r talkin about camera
n yes ppl r also saying dat this phone is not able to execute ne java application whether its a java phone i'll say those guys r not totally wrong but yes they r wrong coz there is a perfect way by which u can do it
