The ONLY thing the S6 will have an advantage over the HTC One M9 on will be the chipset, but the HTC One M9 will be plenty fast for everything thrown at it, so the performance won't be discernible.

I've stated numerous times on here how my S5 exhibits said issue. This is the second S5 I've had that has a nonuniform screen. If you were to watch some of the videos on Youtube by renowned tech reviewer, Erica Griffin, in regards to devices with an AMOLED display, such as the Moto X or Nexus 6, you'd see that screen burn-in isn't an isolated issue.
HTC in 2013:
"Let's use stereo front speakers in our smartphone! They will sound great! And lets make a new ultimate and superior over everything 4MP ultra pixel camera! It will make awesome night and day pics! More MP are out. We don't need that much!"
HTC in 2014:
"Let's use stereo speakers again! They are still awesome as fuck! And let's use...mmh...ok, 4MP wasn't that great it seams. Doesn't matter - we'll use the same bad camera again with 4MP again but this time we'll put a second camera next to it because we don't need more than 4 MP and 2 cameras are better than one!"
HTC in 2015:
"Ok, ok... stereo speakers suck and produce to big bezel and our Ultra Pixel camera sucks and the second camera sucks too..."

Bigger battery doesn't mean anything and nobody knows what battery the One will have. Amoled displays are superior over every other display (S5 best Smartphone Display, Galaxy Tab best Tablet Display and now Note 4 best Smartphone Display) and I have never heard of anybody, seen or read of a burn in problem for Amoled Displays.
Nobodys knows how well the HTC will perform. The Exynos outclasses every other CPU and GPU and is far superior over the 810 and even the Exynos 5433 is faster than the SD 810 in the Flex 2 and as far as I know, HTC won't use stereo speakers anymore.

Seems like a generalized statement, don't you think? Benchmarks reveal the specs used on an upcoming device.
Mediatek chipset????
Aiiiiii caramba....
my thoughs on htc m9 were 20.3 sony lenses stock android full aluminium body with amoled display 5.5" snapdragon 810 wireless 4gb ram beast flagship specs
How could the M9 Plus rely on weaker SoC to drive the extra pixels of its 2k display?
Why does GSMArena insist on promoting these stupid "Benchmark" findings ? Nobody cares about Benchmark results, they are meaningless. I repeat, NOBODY cares about Benchmark results.

Cod3rror, 19 Feb 2015I applaud HTC for using 1080p screen. Although, should've also used 4GB RAM. Why necessarily 4GB? You are aware that the RAM will be the faster, more efficient DDR4 ram, don't you? And this is HTC we're talking about here, 3GB DDR4 should be enough for anything you throw at it.
will there be a dual sim option coming
I applaud HTC for using 1080p screen. Although, should've also used 4GB RAM.
HTC One M9 with 5 inch screen is perfect. The plus will have 5.5 according to most leaks (I think this one is wrong). HTC wins on, bigger battery, no burn in screen, better performance with FHD (the point of QHD on a 5" screen is what???), stereo speakers, no touchwiz to drain performance (negates 14 nm chip). If they do put in a 3500 mah battery, as some are suggesting, sammy will find out quickly just how important battery life is over a few mm of thickness in the market place. Function over form? Yes, please, but you can have both with the One M9.
OiS , I hope they bring it. Otherwise base model is perfect in all aspects.
mars, 19 Feb 2015It's got to be bigger ! The M9 plus I mean. It makes no sense otherwise ! What's the point in ... moreI agree, I have the HTC one max now and luv it. I certainly won't replace it with a smaller screen. It needs to be at least 5.8".
how stupid -_- MTK -> 2k screen and S810 -> FHD :D should be reversed :D
Well, I officially have no idea what phone I'll buy next. With Sony going out of business, and now HTC using crappy MediaTek chips on the One Plus, I really am at a loss.
